I like Future Nostalgia but she’s a jealous album. Chromatica is everything she always tried to be :huntyga:

Totally respect your opinion, but what’s the necessity of doing this? Why Future Nostalgia specifically? What made you think, « oh I’m going to make a thread about how much I prefer FN »

Is it because you want attention?

I'm sorry if you were comparing another album to Chromatica perhaps I would agree. I don't think we think Chromatica is the best album ever, heck I think mostly everyone has a Gaga album they prefer more. However, FN isn't all it seems to be. Sure the aesthetic is nice, the singles are iconic and the production is cohesive. But its nothing extraordinary, honestly besides Don't Start Now, Physical and a song or two, I don't bother with the album. Her album sales also reflect that she's a singles only kind of artist.

Sorry I have to say this. The smooth production throughout the album and Dua’s stunning vocals make for the better listen.

Dua has the perfect voice for pop listening while Gaga’s voice is very shouty and too theatrical at times on Chromatica. If I’m being honest I can’t replay Chromatica everyday the same way I can with Dua’s album. Gaga’s booming vocals are just too much sometimes. Like her vocal style in the chorus of Sour Candy is just unpleasant to listen to (someone should’ve told her it sounds like a frog stuck in her throat).

Gaga’s vocals during TF/TFM were perfect pop vocals and compete with Dua’s vocals now. Conceptually and creativity wise Chromatica is definitely more ambitious, but as a solid body of work Dua’s album is the better pop record. I think it definitely has to do with the vocal delivery.

Thank you for expressing your opinion while knowing that everybody will behave very childish and not even try to understand what you wrote. I agree with you.

The vocals on Enigma alone ATE FN in its entirety.

Not really she shouts alot in Enigma. It's a great song for a concert or live performance but not listening to it regularly. It's like one song that doesn't belong on the album. It's a skip for me. It's the one song that actually proves the OP's point. Which I don't think is true. I think both albums are great.

I love FN as well but sometimes it can sound too sterile and polished and I'll end up skipping half of the tracks. Chromatica on the other hand has so much layer and it tends to sound differently when you listen to it more.

The trinity of Physical + Hallucinate + Levitating is godly, but I like Chromatica more bc it has more flare and I like that I feel connected to Ga when I listen to it (maybe if you can say the same about Dua but idk her career/life as well). I think I emotionally connect with Chromatica more and that's a big part of it for me. And Ga's theatrical voice is everything :enigma:

You posted this literally as I posted the thread... At least read my argument. I just don’t like the delivery of Gaga’s vocals in her new music.

And I don't like the delivery of FN repetitive, boring, and uninspiring sound. Sorry but FN songs are hollow to me, and personally I feel the whole 80s music she incorporates come as gimmicky, like there's no depth. That's why FN doesn't resonate to me that well, and I always kinda cringe at the acclaim it got, because behind the polished and edgy music FN has, it just doesn't excite me. Don't Start Now and Break My Heart are obvious radio hits, but as an album I feel nothing listening through the tracklist.

Her vocals in Sour Candy are literally the sexiest, gayest, most listenable, enjoyable and orgasmical vocals she has ever recorded :billie:
