OMonster 14,717 Posted June 17, 2020 Share Posted June 17, 2020 Honestly, the release strategy behind this artist is so messy and extremely unfair. Can you imagine how frustrated Ava must be? Her label are really using her and won't let her release music until it's as profitable as it can be - which, sure, makes a lot of sense but for her personally, it must be very hard. You'd think after SBP, she would've gained at least enough agency to 'earn' her first damn album. It's such a tough industry to be in. It doesn't help, though, that Ava is 'in' on the whole 'new' Gaga thing. There is so much evidence out there that suggests she / her team were / are trying to manufacture something that isn't inherent or authentic to her as an artist. I mean, she even refuses to talk about Gaga - straight out. Some of her pre-interview regulations even explicitly state to not ask her about or mention Gaga. There's something very off about everything that surrounds her, tbh. And I don't blame her for any of this - who can fault her for wanting fame and following a strategy to achieve it?
