DC - Paparazzi (Live at Miller Time 2018)

You most likely don't know this but "Miller Time" is basically our version of a "Family Reunion" and we've always had one every year in August where we go up North a little bit and almost everyone in the family and even some friends come up. We didn't have one this year, and it's expected not to happy again this year, and it probably won't ever happen again sadly, I really miss all the times we spent. Oh well, at least the last time we ever had one I got to jam out to a song by one of my favorite artists of all time! :firega:

Boy have my vocals changed since then :flutter:

This happened around the time I wrote Rollin' Into Town and Pictures!

Also this is my dad on the guitar + Added backing vocals

A family member had me say "Girl" instead of "Boy" during the chorus because he's from the generation where that isn't completely accepted :billie:

On the last chorus I said "Birl" :air:

Thanks! Yeah I guess I can see that, I was super nervous so I was kind of hiding behind my hat :laughga: #Joanne :billie: And I'll tell him you think so! :firega:

Yeah! Pretty much my whole family loves what I do! My Grampa can listen to the whole Blue album from start to finish and he loves all the little elements and lyrics and melodies I put into these songs, and how differen't every song is to eachother, rather than just have the same sound over and over again. I'm SO lucky to have that, and I'll never take it for granted!

But you can say, "I'll be your girl" :billie: We stan a family member that supports trans rights but not gheys :billie: (jk)

This is very cute! I love this. And the vocals are great for a live performance! Collaborative performances are always difficult live with timing issues and all but you nailed it!

Thank you guys so much!!! My dad’s the one that does all the guitar solos on my songs like Forever!, The Last Chant, Rollin’ Into Town, and Apocalypse :firega: He’s always been there since the beginning

Yeah we practiced like a few weeks before we went and didn’t know if we were actually going to do it, but a day before we went we practiced Paparazzi and Million Reasons and just worked all day and early morning on those songs. I did Million Reasons after this performance, and it is recorded, but I don’t want to put that out there, it’s too awkward :billie:

But yeah! Like even for just these two songs we practiced SO much and I remember feeling so sick and tired of theses songs that I wanted to do something else, we weren’t, but I still wanted to :billie:

If I ever do my own shows and do a little tour around America I’m gonna take it upon myself to make sure I practice EVERYTHING for at least 3 weeks straight! And I think I came up with some perfect setlists so who knows? Maybe next year I’ll get around MN :vegas:

That's good and that's how it should be. My friend who has a Doctorate in music says "Don't practice so you can get it right. Practice so you can't get it wrong." :)

you gotta make it part of your muscle memory so at the time of the performance you can focus on the emotion and the nervousness and the song just comes out on its own :kara:

You inspire me to be a better performer and put my own stuff out there. I'll come to your show one day. Hope you come to mine.

That is very true! Muscle Memory is everything, and if you don’t practice something the way it needs to be you’ll automatically do the wrong thing while performing, our Choir teacher taught us a lot about it :vegas:

Wow! I actually didn’t expect to inspire anyone! That means a lot

Yeah of course I’ll go to yours! If you ever come to Minnesota, preferably around the Twin Cities, I’ll make it! :firega:
