She had 15 #1 songs in the 90's, and 5 #1 hits in the 2000's, and topping the charts doesnt mean #1

Gaga is considered an artist who dominated the charts, yet she only has 5 #1 songs in 2 decades

Mariah has the most #1 songs after the Beatles, yet you say she did not dominate the charts?

I'm just saying not for 4 decades omg haha. I'm not saying she's not a legend in the industry with a laundry list of hits.

she's always been so unlikeable, especially all those disgusting comments she's made about Britney's mental health on multiple occasions.

Yeah . Very cringe

This is when Katy had just had her ninth US #1 with Dark Horse, her career was at its peak and so was her ego. It's worth noting that she had achieved nine #1's almost as fast as Mariah had (Mariah did it in 5 years, Katy did it in 6). She really thought she was untouchable at this point, bar a slight miss like Unconditionally. Little did she know as she talked so patronisingly about a fellow artist who could no longer achieve #1's that she had just achieved her final #1. That she was only going to get one top 10 in the next 6 years (and counting). This clip just proves that you can never be too sure of yourself. It reminds me a lot of an interview Xtina did back in the day post-MTV kiss with Britney and Madonna and was asked if she'd ever collab or perform with them again. I can't find the clip now but she said: "Britney. um...I think we'll just stick with the performance, the performance was good. Madonna?...Ten years ago, maybe?" Little did Xtina know that she'd just have more more successful album after this before her career took a nosedive never to return. Many more artists have spoken disparagingly of Gaga and then had their careers go south, including these two. Putting down your fellow artists is never a good route to long-lasting success, I've found. Eventually, you're going to annoy a fan of yours who's also a fan of the one you insulted. Madonna made this huge mistake as she must have known she and Gaga shared a lot of fans.

I- Where has Katy's career ended? She's in a drop right now, but pretty much every artist goes through one.

Gaga herself lost a lot of the GP's love and support during ARTPOP, she climbed her way back up slowly through Cheek to Cheek, Joanne and finally returned with Shallow. Give Katy time, her career is definitely not over.

It ended when she struggled to get top ten hits with Witness, even though these singles wre super trendy with super current feature artists on them. When a pop artist, particularly one as successful as her struggles like this, it's always a sign of worse to come. And I think your hopes are too high for Katy. Her run of recent singles barely charted and she barely got into the top 40 with her lead single. This is all pointing to a flop album. And I've never seen an artist who had two flop albums in a row make a successful comeback.

Gaga said that she is mean and Gaga is not kind of person that throws that word around...

She used to be so cocky and arrogant back then lol

Didn't she say before that she didn't like the idea of being "very devoted to fans" or something like that? Which is kinda shade to Gagz since she's very vocal and proud "doing anything for her fans" at the time. She relied her success much from the GP.

Do you guys think that Katy will soon be forgotten by the GP? Do you think she will be remembered in 100 years from now? :bon:

It depends, I don't know honnestly

I don't see ger being forgotten THAT quickly, but I don't know if she'll be really remembered in 100 years... Both could happen
