I think that, because TFM is such an iconic era and so cohesive in terms of sound and aesthetic, we forget that the management was a MESS. TFM was redesigned as a standalone EP in certain territories at the last minute, and the promotion prior to its release was pretty minimal.

It's because they launched The Fame Monster EP and The Fame (Monster). They both divided the sales and The Fame (Monster) counted towards The Fame.

But then how come TF didn’t peak at number 1? :giveup: I understand not debuting at 1, but you’re telling me all throughout 2009 it never peaked at number 1? :giveup:
