I think its because R-Kelly is credited as a writer on all versions of DWUW, even though he only wrote his portion of the song. So even if Gaga uploaded a solo version or the Christina version, R-Kelly would still get residuals.

Christina one is still available everywhere tho :/

It was considered good at the time by us tbh

You are certainly right there. Then why doesn't Gaga/Interscope just add that version to ARTPOP on streaming services? Seems like an easy replacement.

Joanne spent like 9 weeks in the Top 20 pre-SB.

Still pretty solid imo if you consider that she had no big hits driving the album and didn’t even know what streaming was back then :spin:

I remember lurking around here at the time and everybody was super excited Joanne's projected first week sales kept creeping up. I'm tempted to go look for the gif of Gaga going to Walmart or Target and buying 20 copies of Joanne and using the self checkout.

MR really carried the entire album on its own. :golfclap:

Thank god we had the SB and it surged back to #2 and The Fame went top 10 again

Just Another Day also had a nationwide washing machine commercial too. There was some nice promo keeping Joanne afloat.

I remember seeing ARTPOP in the top 30 on iTunes that day and feeling so good:giveup:

Literally her entire discography skyrocketed. I think moreso than anyone else who performed right?

Joanne had 3 lives tbh and they were all fun to track on the BB200

1st life was Oct-Dec 2016

2nd life was Feb-May 2017 (SB/Coachella/MR resurgence)

3rd life was September 2017-Dec 2017 (Five Foot Two and the JWT US leg)

The fact Joanne has 49 weeks on the Billboard 200

We should try to make it chart for at least 3 more weeks :vegas:

1-5-11-21-14-13-18-19-20.

Then it free fell (sans SB month).

The fact that this was considered good for us :rip: We could only WISH for Joanne to have its first four weeks in the Top 5 and likely more in the Top 10

Still bothers me she performed Telephone instead of Applause:saladga:

I mean it only resulted in her not bringing Bey out, making the song obsolete compared to performing some other hits. whereas Applause (still a hit!) would’ve represented a whole other album in her discography (like, the most underrated one that could use it the most) and ARTPOP could’ve gotten more exposure and shared more of the glory that TF and BTW got.
