steroids in general aren’t great for you, but this should be short term enough that it won’t have lasting effects.

Nice! If scientists keep making these discoveries, the risk of overwhelming healthcare systems will become very low, and no more lockdowns will be needed!

I am laughing so hard at the conspiracionists that kept saying the pharmaceutic industry was faking chroloquine's bad results to push an expensive drug when dexamethasone is much cheaper than chloroquine :smh:

If you see me posting like crazy, I'm either bored or procrastinating.

That’s fantastic! But when will it be available to use? That’s the thing

It's available in practically ever pharmacy and it can only be used if you're hospitalised, otherwise there may not be much point. You'd literally only need it if you were on the verge of death, to reduce inflammation.

I can't see them ever prescribing it for people to use at home for a current COVID infection

Now we wait until Big Pharma finds a way to make this "cheap" drug cost 10k

If it's cheap it most likely means the drug already has competing generics and it's patent has expired

If that's the case, medications with generics available are much harder to price gauge

Even big pharma has limits to their corrupt power. There's a lot of drugs that become cheap that I'm sure they'd rather it not. My anti depressents are literally like 50 cents a pill. I'm sure they'd love to charge more but with the patent expired and generics available it's not so easy because any manufacturer can make it as long as they follow the formula and get approval for production. The monopoly is lost
