I was shocked when I heard the album version because I had been playing the demo a lot before the release but now that’s it been two weeks, I can honestly say that I like the final version more. Also, I feel like the song doesn't hit its full potential until the second chorus and when you get into it it's already over. I prefer the demo beat but at the same time I feel like the song is kind of monotonous, with the same beat throughout. I wish there was a good mixture of them both. I agree! the final version would be fine without that basic EDM break.. in that EW interview it was talking about how much they all worked on Free Woman and that's the best they could come up with...? I think changing up the drop after the first chorus to something entirely different would have been nicer, too. While the demo could have used some trimming and some cuts, the final version is... really short. And then being followed up by Fun Tonight?
