GrandchildDavid 14
Today Super Bowl halftime just happened. Who still remembers what happened 9 years ago?
Mills 446
New song: "That Girl" http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=&v=Gp2_gesFmCs Guess this confirms what else we would expect on his new album. I like it, but it does not really sound something that would smash the charts or even radio.
Mills 446
MTV: Justin Timberlake Has Nothing But #Respect For Britney Spears 'Suit & Tie' singer takes to Twitter to clarify his 'b---h' comment at a concert Saturday night. Sexy is definitely back as Justin Timberlake returned to the stage on Saturday night in New Orleans to launch his new era of The 20/20 Experience. And while he performed some old tunes and new ones off his March 19 album at the DirecTV charity event, it's something he reportedly said during his set that had people buzzing long after it. Before launching into "Cry Me A River," E! reports that the "Suit & Tie" singer told the room, "Sometimes in life, you think you found the one, but then one day you find out that she is just some b---h." The comment seemed to refer to his ex-girlfriend Britney Spears, who is the long-rumored muse for the 2002 breakup track off his debut Justified. However, Timberlake took to Twitter on Sunday to clarify the alleged comment. "Ok. I see you. Wouldn't disrespect ANYONE personally. Ever. #Relax #ItsBritneyBitch I do love that saying though*with accent*#Respect," he wrote, hours after the headlining gig, paying homage to Spears' latest hit single, "Scream & Shout." (That line is also featured on her 2007 track, "Gimme More.") When he wasn't getting the rumor mill spinning, the tuxed-out singer got the room hyped for his new release by playing its lead single, "Suit & Tie" (which included a cameo from Jay-Z), and two other new tracks, "Little Pusher Love Girl" and "That Girl." The February 3 performance is just the first of many for Timberlake. The singer will play the Grammy Awards on Sunday and then will buzz over to The Palladium to play a post-Grammys event "for fans only." He's also slated to play the Brit Awards on February 20 at London's O2 arena. Timberlake also just shot the proper video for "Suit & Tie." He not only enlisted Hova to make an appearance in it, but it will be helmed by "The Social Network" director David Fincher.f Here's the full article. Mills 446
Justin Timberlake Reveals 'The 20/20 Experience' Doc Info, Talks Performing New Songs A documentary following the making of the new album is on the way. With Justin Timberlake's "The 20/20 Experience" due Mar. 19, fans can now expect a documentary chronicling the making of the highly anticipated new album. While chatting on "On Air with Ryan Seacrest," host Ryan Seacrest inquired about the behind-the-scenes video Timberlake posted online last month, declaring he's ready to return to music. "[i'm trying] not to give too much away. You know I like surprising the fans. That little piece of footage is from a documentary that we sort of started working on throughout the making of the album, which started last June." No further details were given on the doc, though Timberlake dropped news on several other fronts. As for his Feb. 10 Grammys performance, he says, "All over the world with the performances I'm going to do. I think you'll hear some stuff that you haven't heard." As for the making of the album, Timberlake admitted that, along with producer Timbaland, he often created more than a song per day and that the record was nearly completed by the time he took time off in October for his marriage to actress Jessica Biel. Fans can expect a record that flows in much the same way as 2006's "FutureSex/LoveSounds." "Some of what we touched on on the last album with the interludes and pieces that would connect one song to another song, we've really gone deep on that part of the process. A lot of the songs are really two-in-one." He also revealed how he arrived at the new album's title. "I was playing some of the stuff for my friends and they would come in and out of the studio and I’d say, ‘What do you think of this?’ And my best friend said, ‘This is music that you can see,’ and for some reason that stuck with me.†Last Saturday, Timberlake played his first headlining gig since 2007, a charity show in New Orleans. He's set to play another show after his Grammys performance Feb. 10 at Los Angeles' Hollywood Palladium. Here's the full article.
mr.peter 3,542
I read he's only doing this album to fulfill contracts with RCA and Live-nation ... and has no real interest in making music if it wasn't for the contracts he has to fulfill by 2013. which puts a damper on the project for me :noparty:
