Sure it's cheaper but you can't play 4k/blu ray movies and you have to buy older backwards compatible games you already have on disc. For people from the US, it's better to have the disc, because they have more discounts on physicals, like Gamestop is doing buy 2 get 1 free for pre-owned games, which is pretty nice, for $30 you can get 3 AAA games easily. But for me, in Costa Rica the prices are pretty crazy and expensive, so to buy digitally even for the original not discounted price, is much cheaper than to buy physical. And it's not convenient to buy from Amazon because delivery + taxes can cost an extra $40.
