IDk.. It’s a good song but it doesn’t fit the album.. IMO SC fits 10 times better

I agree. Looking back on Chromatica, SL kinda set the tone for the album to go in a different direction.

Really love this insight to how the album came together. It really highlights the amount of work, effort and consideration that went into making it from Gaga's end and her collaborators... I don't know, having this knowledge about the music kind of enhances the listening experience for me.

Even more confirmation of how Chromatica was just scraps thrown together by producers with Lady Gaga's voice on it :enigma:

I feel like a lot of the sound of this album was formed by her having a much more hands-off approach. Hm.

You guys are entitled to think what you want, but no artist on the planet actually makes their own music. That's what producers are there to do. Gaga writes most of her music - she does influence production and has been very open about being somewhat of a student in the studio. The end result with Chromatica feels authentic, honest and sounds polished to me. I can feel and sense where the music has come from given the lyrics, melodies, vocals and how she's spoken about the music.

We worked with SOPHIE very early on. [She was] the first collaborator of those sessions. Those days were fun. We set up six microphones and recorded [Gaga's] Lamborghini exhaust, and SOPHIE cut it up into samples. [Though they didn't make the album], we still plan to finish those songs and present something special within the Chromatica universe.

This is truly the second Act.

Judas is coming, let the cultural baptism begin.

This interview has made me very sad. Chromatica is literally a Bloodpop's project. She let him do everything from ideas to production, while the lyrics that she wrote are depressive af. Sheisse :wtf:

Did you think I'd show up in a limousine? No

That's a fair point. I'm also going by the assumption that Gaga had a heavier hand in production with her previous records, going by production credit and co-producer's substantiation of such.

I mean, she's still executive producer for this record, and she's (and the other producers) have also been fairly explicit about this album's production process of being handed around. It could essentially be the same process with all of her other records, but the process of songs being passed around was much more emphasized for this album.

I have a differing opinion about Chromatica than yours, but its neither right nor wrong. Just different!

I for one think it is an amazing sign of growth for Gaga to have tried out this new approach. We all know she is an amazing songwriter, so what does she have to prove? And this time around, she's shown us that she is willing to experiment and let some of the work be done by creative collaborators. She still wrote the songs and composed the melodies on the Piano together with BloodPop, and then they either handed the rough demos around and they were built up and polished to become finished songs, or they used an already existing track / song and put a new spin on it. Either way, from the melodies, the lyrics to the beats, while Chromatica is fresh and exciting, it is still 100% Gaga at it's core. And that should be proof enough of her involvement in the creative process.

It's hard to light a candle, easy to curse the dark instead.

I want Chromatica 2 so bad now  SOPHIE always creates songs that are outstanding and godly.

“They will be released in the future of the chromatica universe”

My trust issues popping after the throwback this gave me to ARTPOP act II and all those songs that were ready

It really feels like SL, Plastic Doll, the Haus Labs version of Babylon, and even Love Me Right exist in an alternate Chromatica universe, imo.
