But not allowing your employees to wear political advertising is not racist. Politics and corporate dress code hardly ever mix. It's just how it is. 

LGBTQ pride has slowly filtered into the mainstream over the last several years. The BLM movement is very new in the grand scheme of things and is a continuation of the civil rights movement in the 60s. Unfortunately, there's still issues being uncovered to the mainstream and confusion about what BLM exactly is. So until more people understand what it is, I don't see the mainstream getting behind it. I personally support it, but from a business standpoint they probably are going to take their time. 

If I had a company, I would let them wear and support whatever they wanted. But they are not doing anything implicitly racist. 

I think it's unwise, but not racist. 

Edit: We live in a "cancel culture" world and imo it's gotten out of hand. Although I rarely go to Starbucks and think their coffee sucks, I'm just looking at this from a business standpoint (business degree here). Again I don't support their decision, just trying to give another perspective.

I meant it rhetorically – I don't want them to shut more  locations, but with the attitude they're taking, they could be headed that way. 

And I hope you can keep your job. I have a feeling they're going to backtrack after this snafu. Certainly I can't see the BTW foundation continuing to partner with them after this.

BLM is very liberal. LGBTQ support is liberal and also creeping into the mainstream. Both are considered political agendas in the business/corporate world. 

I support both, obviously.
