mezzanine 476 Posted June 11, 2020 Share Posted June 11, 2020 *pretends to be shocked* its pretty simple, they have a lot of racist and republican clients, and now they're more extreme than ever before at boycotting any company that sympathises with the BLM movement because they are really not stepping back; us fa66ots are harmless so they don't see us as a threat anymore or our flag as a pin on an employee. but if a republican sees a BLM thing, it will be like "omg, you support them, you hate white people, you are pro-looters, blah blah blah" and there will they have them making a scene and making them lose a loooot of money. It's cheaper for more and if you get dark roast iced coffee instead of regular it tastes a lot better than the iced coffee at Starbucks. Plus they have coffee rolls and sandwiches cheaper than $5. And w the acceptance of LGBTQ support- I’m just so confused There is a different between wearing a pin against racism/homophobia versus wearing a pin of a specific organization (which is Black Lives Matter in this case). BLM isn't just a movement, it's a legal entity with 16 charters across US and Canada. Wearing a Black Lives Matter pin has more implications beyond stating that the person is anti-racist, it has the implications that the person endorses organization's methods of operation. A company can objections to such endorsement if done when the employee is working in uniform because it has the connotation that the company is endorsing the organization. PS: I am 100% sure they will backtrack though. Current cancelling culture will win over any debate when it comes to companies with commercial interest in having people like them.
