It's too bitter and I find I also need to drench it with sugar and cream to make it drinkable

For Starbucks, they're really just losing profits/investments on these specific locations. For competitors, their owners/workers could be losing their livelihood (those working paycheck-to-paycheck, etc.). Are all their locations Corporate or do they have any franchise? But it's common for big companies to every so often get rid of locations that are running losses And in the long run its not in the economies best interest for uneconomic operations to be running even tho it the short term it sucks for the employees

Definitely not worth the premium price when McDonald's or Tims has better tasting double doubled for cheaper
AsleepOnTheCeiling 6,940
I'm sorry but there's no way they're closing that many stores because of "consumer behavior shifts" since COVID-19. These stores were already identified and close to shutting down before any of this happened. The time it takes for market analysis to show a pattern between the virus and other factors is too long and such a big investment isn't gonna be closed down simply because of something they observed the last 2 months and under unusual circumstances. What a lame excuse. I feel bad for all the employees losing their jobs, there must be 8,000 or so of them.

Hopefully the employees that are laid off can find something soon depending on their economic status. dOnT sAd ReAcT mE 2 bE sHaDy i WiLL RePoRt U!!1! RAMROD 117,008
I can't at these people calling Starbucks disgusting, but then proceed mentioning how bitter the coffee were that they gotta add so much sugar. Hennies, clearly any of you who said things like that are not avid coffee drinker enough to criticize a coffee shop. Real ones not gonna add sugar in our coffee, we drunk it black. That way we can really taste the brew as it is intended. And if we want sweetness, we had cookies, stroop waffels, or cakes for that. Like, I am sorry, that kind of attitude bothers me so I need to put y'all in your place a bit. Go enjoy your frappe in silence (ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ✧*:・゚ ᶠʳᵒⁿᵗ ᵗᵒʷᵃʳᵈ ᵉⁿᵉᵐʸ (*´艸`*) ♡♡♡

I love strong coffee, but to me Starbucks isn't bitter or strong but "burnt" tasting. My favorite coffee is the stuff I had in Italy, which was incredibly strong and bitter but not like the burnt sludge from Starbucks.
