These are exactly the types of Rock and Alternative artists (in the vein of someone like Fiona Apple) that my comment suggested the above predictions were missing. If you're going to pipe in with snide commentary, at least be accurate

SineFromHell 160
I really hope Gaga is able to snatch a AOTY nomination. She hasn't had one since... BTW.
LetsGetHigh2 88
Based on the great radio airplay, Gaga is sweeping every category, we can go home Scammys only care about commercial success and we're getting that this era We smokin' em all
Enzo 37,977
Fine Line, SAWAYAMA and Future Nostalgia won't be snatching anything me thinks lol Fiona might get an AOTY nom but that's it After Hours has more chances than any other album and I hope he leaves empty handed Also, you all are predicting a LOT of pop albums in AOTY 툭 까보면 어김없이 소리질러와

KevinWright 1,640
- Harry Styles and 'Fine Line' deserve at least a nomination for AOTY and "Adore You" for Pop Solo. - "Rain On Me" probably will get the nomination and the award for Pop Duo. - I will be very happy if "Lose You to Love Me" get a nomination for Pop Solo. I don't like Selena but the song is a huge upgrade for her. - The Weeknd is coming to slay.

Fetch the Bolt Cutters 5. Hollywood's Bleeding 6. Notes on a Conditional Form 7. The Highwomen 8. Please Excuse Me for Being Antisocial This is a great, and realistic, lineup. The Grammys went through a major scandal last year when its new CEO resigned and discussed the biased selection process, etc., in addition to coming under fire ~3 years ago after its former CEO stated that women had to "step up." Now w/ the BLM movement + fresh snubs of artists like Beyonce (Lemonade), Kendrick Lamar (TPAB+), and Kanye West (MBTF+), the GF will be very inclusive. Pop is one of the hardest genres to be taken seriously in the General Field; that may be hard to grasp on a forum like this, or when you've grown up seeing acts like Billie Eilish and Ariana Grande in the big categories, but there's a reason Ariana / Britney have 1 Grammy, Katy 0, etc. Fiona Apple will absolutely get an AOTY nod, and would've been a big favorite in a pre-'18 lineup of 5. I see Future Nostalgia being replaced. The Weeknd, Gaga, Dua Lipa, and Doja Cat released some of the year's most consumed music and it was all very retro-inspired; big records will be snubbed and vote-splitting will occur, IMO. Fine Line would be a decent placeholder since Harry was sent to Rock last time. Depending on where ROCKSTAR and Savage are submitted, I could see the following, or After Hours getting AOTY, with ROCKSTAR or Savage getting ROTY + BPD/G. AOTY: FTBC (Fiona Apple) After Hours (The Weeknd) ROTY: Blinding Lights (The Weeknd) Don't Start Now (Dua Lipa), The Box (Roddy Rich), ROCKSTAR, Say So (Doja Cat), Savage (Meghan Thee Stallion ft. Beyonce) SOTY: Blinding Lights (The Weeknd) Don't Start Now (Dua Lipa), Adore You (Harry Styles), Everything I Wanted (Billie Eilish), The Box (Roddy Rich), The Bones (Marren Morris) BPVA: Chromatica (Lady Gaga) 2. Future Nostalgia (Dua Lipa) 3. Fine Line (Harry Style) 4. Hollywood's Bleeding (Post Malone) 5. ?? (Rare, Manic, ...) BPSP: Blinding Lights (The Weeknd) 2. Don't Start Now (Dua Lipa) 3. Adore You (Harry Styles) 4. Everything I Wanted (Billie Eilish) 5. Say So (Doja Cat) BPD/G: Rain On Me (Lady Gaga / Ariana Grande) 2. Intentions (Justin Bieber ft. Quavo) 3. Good as Hell (Lizzo ft. Ariana Grande) 4. Memories (Maroon 5) 5. Level of Concern (21 Pilots), If The World Was Ending (Julia Michaels / PJ?), ??

President Biden 5,898
My guess Fetch the Bolt Cutters 3.15.20 After Hours Chromatica ~Sam Smith’s album if it comes this summer~ Future Nostalgia how i’m feeling now by Charli XCX (it has a good MC score + I bet they’ll appreciate the moment it was created in as a way to recognize the troubles of COVID19 quarantine) Most likely to win? I’d say either Fiona, Gaga or Childish tbh. After Hours seems too commercial & every other year they throw a curveball. Last year was a smash album, they before was Kacey’s big surprise. I’m going to bet on a surprise win. I got drunk

It just hasn't had that big an impact, and the Grammys know they are losing relevance, I don't think they would nominate a virtually unknown record by an artist whose last top 40 hit was in 1997. As unfair as that is. NFR and Melodrama both got an AOTY nom without any kind of impact though, nothing's impossible. After all, Gaga won a GRAMMY against four big hits for a song that wasn't a single (Joanne) and that only had 20 million streams overall. Whatever we think about the GRAMMYs, they almost never fail to surprise us
