I like it in context of the album, but as a standalone track it's my second least fave.

It's good. Not as good as the demo for me, but still good.

The demo was grittier, more solid production wise. It was a vibe in and of itself. And she also chose to cut the "Electric. Devotion." lyric and the stuttering bridge (demo highlight) for some reason. Now, it's safe and commercial. Still love her vocals tho, especially the growls. It's definitely grown on me since the release, but the demo remains superior tbh :vegas:

Side note: the generic beat drop sounds pretty good on promo videos (see below) and I assume would sound pretty slick on the radio as well

Some elements are missed in the album version that I really liked in the demo version. However, the way she exclaims "we own the downtown! Here our sound" and the beat really explodes after that. The track has really grown on me and I love that bit.

I love them both! The album version is very 1993 gay club with glamours drag queens and glitter. The demo version is like a 1993 warehouse rave with neon colors and metallic colors. Both are equally amazing! Same goes for Babylon for me.

I love her vocals, the production (minus the Kygo sound) & I am trying to forget about the demo.

(Wich is her best demo since the Bad Romance demo)

I love the album version. at first I was missing the percussion of the demo but the final master is a lot more interesting and rich. the backing vocal adlibs are heavenly and the “come on” and last chorus are incredible and more climax  than the demo. the way she says “I don’t got a man” in the final is more raw and passionate.

it’s clearly a more polished and layered version. I also don’t miss the bridge. it brought the energy down a little.

“Fantastic, chic, freak, slay.”

I love it. To me I picture it being about a trans woman coming into her own. I would love for Gaga to film a music video with this theme and just exclusively feature trans woman coming into their own in honor of pride month.

I was worried that I wouldn’t like the album when the free woman demo leaked, but I love the final version to pieces! The drop after the chorus sounds like a fashion week classic!
