Personally, I think anyone who's saying "Monsters made her redo this reaction" or "You guys forced her into liking this album" clearly didn't watch the video. She said in the beginning that no one requested her to do this. Even though a lot of people did have negative reactions to her reactions, I didn't see people demanding her do another reaction video. She also clarified in the comments that the reason why she wasn't vibing with the album at first was because she couldn't let go of previous songs/eras. If that doesn't sound like some of y'all... Most of the songs grew on her, and she paid attention to the lyrics this time, which I loved. Personally, that was the thing I was most disappointed about in her initial reaction. Chromatica easily has some of her most interesting lyrics and to see her disregard that in the first reaction was sad to see. That said, she still had very clear criticism. Some of them, I actually agreed with and understood. If she really did this just to appease Monsters, I'd imagine she'd just be YAAAASSSS-ing the whole time, but that wasn't the case. She actually had positives and negatives, with the negatives being constructive criticism—like her normal reactions. Look, at the end of the day, her initial video and her current video don't change my mind about the album, but it's nice to see that she gave the album time. It was a grower for her, and that's okay. I liked it a lot more, but it did feel less...something than Gaga's other work. Anderson123 35,927 Posted June 6, 2020 Share Posted June 6, 2020 To be fair, Chromatica could be a grower if you're someone who has gotten used to The Fame Monster / Born This Way Gaga, at least that happened to me with ARTPOP and Joanne. Gaga has set her bar so high with those albums that it can be hard to compare her new work to that. I don't care if she's doing it for the views and getting love back from monsters but I noticed that she was really bored the first time which could be that she wasn't really in the mood for it, understandable.
