The only song from In the Zone that matters is Toxic - I feel like it's almost seen separately from the album, cuz everything else on the album is so... good... at evading my attention :enigma:

That's arguably extremely sexist because you're saying she wasn't/isn't allowed to artistically respond to someone who launched his solo career off of her back...

That's not really fair since the same production/writing team on that song also worked on another track on the album:

Yes, if you don't like a Britney song, you are EXTREMELY sexist - well done :sharon:

Also where did I say that? Literally all I said is that In the Zone is a bad album with one good song... Where did I say she can't artistically respond to anyone? Please quote :enigma:

Also it is fair... The same production team that made Toxic also made an incredibly bad song - simple as that :vegas:

ALSO also... you're not tired of using the same 2 videos :enigma:

It's a joke! When you give me that look, it's a joke!

You would never call this nothing less than a good song Why?:

Yet, you call the actual composer of the song bad????  Doesn't make sense????

I don't think that album is forgotten at all. The songs, the choreography, the wardrobe, everything was as close to perfect for a pop star as it can get. Too bad that when she really started to go through it. Especially with Justin Timberlake making her out it be the bad guy.

I hate that guy.

That doesn't give anyone the right to slut shame on such a grand and public scale. And the kind of hate she received for it probably put her on the path to 2007 Britney

Also so what if she cheated. People cheat for many reasons not everything is black and white. She was the biggest female pop star in the world dating the the biggest male popstar in the world and still lonely.

Justin Beiber hasn't received the kind of hate Britney received and he cheated.

"Glen Hansard, still some years away from his Once breakthrough, showed this when he and Colm Maclomaire recorded their version under the Frames name. Hansard’s vocals give “Everytime” an authenticity that the press wouldn’t necessarily attribute to Britney’s breathier delivery. Do the words “I guess I need you, baby” come across as being more vulnerable when sung by a man instead of a woman? In any case, the lyrics come from Britney, and Hansard sings them with all the conviction they deserve, making for a powerful cover."

"Half of the Oscar-winning duo behind the film Once, Glen Hansard’s mournful delivery of Britney Spears’ strongest ballad would not have been at all out of place on the film’s soundtrack."

He's right...

There's no way, of course, that's a bad song without plausible explanation.

And Breathe on Me and Touch of My Hand is as good as those as well; as for Showdown, opinions are opinions, as you well know.

If she did, Justin cheated on her first with Nicole Appleton...

That means Cry Me a River, the song/video which launched/created Justin's solo career is null and void/fraudulent.

I think pretty much everything Britney Spears related is forgotten by the GP, but within stan culture I wouldnt say so. I personally still use this album occasionally :applause:

Well, for the segment about Everytime, the main point was that Glen Hansard's cover could easily sit along side his Oscar Winning Soundtrack for Once (2007), which you definitely wouldn't call bad.  Do you agree or disagree on that point?

"Half of the Oscar-winning duo behind the film Once, Glen Hansard’s mournful delivery of Britney Spears’ strongest ballad would not have been at all out of place on the film’s soundtrack."

And obviously the point about Timberlake is that he cheated first...

This invalidates the song and video that launched and created his solo career, making it fraudulent.

Everytime was a hit too :cryga:, and Me Against The Music ft. Madonna went top 5 in most countries :selena:
