this has been going around Twitter since the day one. Multiple celebs have called out. She was a contributor to some publications, can't remember which. I think some people said she was fired after this.

While I don’t agree with what this girl did, looters are doing way more than just stealing. They’re ruining people’s businesses that worked hard to create, they’re ruining property, and towns. Neither should be justified

As bad as those crimes are... Businesses could reopen one day.  Black men and women died who aren't coming back.  Try to remember that as well.

Yes I agree with you. But what about small business owners? People who have worked their asses off to sustain their business year after year to just put food on their table? People are already struggling or going out of business because of covid, and now even small business are getting damaged. It needs to stop

Yes business that exist in a country built on the backs of those looters’ achestors. So who is really the thief if you think about it? I am not saying looting is generally a good thing, absolutely not, but I think people forget the CONTEXT in which these events are happening and the reason why. Peaceful prostesting has not resolved anything, the cops are the ones that have instigated the violence, are you expecting people to just sit there and take the constant blows? No, at one point you are going to strike back. And you find other ways to do it when you can’t use the same methods the police uses. And this is just an example of why looting in a way is justified in this case.

Again, I am NOT AT ALL for any form of violence generally, but I try to understand the context as I said before and the reason. In times of such desperation, you do whatever you can to make yourself heard.

Perspective.  Poor people struggling to survive... and there are poor people dead because cops or vigilantes took it upon themselves to kill them before even a trial. Keep everything in perspective.  How would you like it if George Floyd was your father or brother?

I think it’s good that your looking into the context behind current events, and I’m glad you don’t stand by violence. The thing is that violence doesn’t solve anything, and it’s been proven time and time again. And I don’t think silent protests have solved anything either because it’s an “in the moment” sort of thing. We need to think long term. Teach your children about equality, stand up for someone when you see them being discriminated, start healthy conversation with your pairs etc. people like to say they stand by these causes in the moment, but when the media is done talking about it everyone else does as well. Like I said if we want change we need to think long term.

ps. I didn’t mean to quote you twice the site was being weird
