This is the first poll that I cannot do. TFM is a legendary album, and Chromatica is also top notch.

Don’t play with me, it just hurts me.

Honestly, this is hands down Chromatica.

Nostalgia plays a bigger factor than I think most people realize. TFM is iconic and legendary, and it always will be, but honestly...would people be singing its praises if she released it today? I don't think so. Knowing this fanbase, she could've released Bad Romance this year and y'all would still find something to complain about.

I like half the songs on TFM and the other half, I really couldn't care less about.

Yes but Chromatica is better as an album.

I became a Gaga fan in 2009, so TFM is near and dear to me. With that being said, with the things I’ve experienced, Chromatica just means a little more. But both albums are stellar and they’re my two favourites.
(TFM=Chromatica > ARTPOP > BTW > TF > Joanne > ASIB > C2C, side note: I love all of the albums)

If Gaga released The Fame Monster today then she wouldn’t be where she is today because that’s the album that made her a star. Her entire discography would be different without it. It’s the reason half her fan base became fans. That’s not a really good argument. Chromatica wouldn’t exist without The Fame Monster because Chromatica is the evolvement of all her albums.

It was a hypothetical, I didn't literally mean it.

If in some alternate universe, she became famous for another song/album and then released TFM, I don't think people would be saying that TFM is as good as it is.

People are in love with the idea of TFM and what it represents. They might be in love with the songs too, but I think the former plays a more crucial role than people think.

Chromatica is an amazing album, but TFM is on a whole other level. Her second best album.

But people really liked it when it came out and that’s what matters. She was on top of her game not just commercially but artistically she managed to release an album that surprised and amazed people and that’s why were fans today. It’s amazing how she made her best album at the height of her career without trying to top The Fame or planned on making a sophomore album. And that’s why I think it’s so good. There was no pressure to top herself so she was able to experiment more creatively without worrying what her fans or the public would think.

Although TFM will always have a special place in my youth, Chromatica expresses a message of self healing. Something I’m very grateful for.

People liked it so much because she provided something that the music industry just did not have at that time. Don't get me wrong, I love and adore songs like Bad Romance, and Speechless, and Alejandro, etc., but if she were to release TFM today, I don't think people would love it as much as they did back then.

I understand that the logistics of her releasing TFM today aren't possible, but that's besides the point.

The point I'm making is that nostalgia plays a huge role in why we like things. Personally, I believe that Gaga only gets better and better with each era. She's growing and she's evolving. That's fantastic. I don't want to continually compare her stuff to the past because then that creates a never ending cycle of disappointment.

TFM was great, and it'll always be iconic and legendary, but I think Chromatica is much, much better as an album.

As an era, sure, TFM is 10x better. Chromatica almost practically doesn't have an era because of the COVID-19 situation and the protests going on right now.
