Some look at this as a buzzkiller for the era but I think this makes it more memorable and meaningful. Music is a part  of culture and being blind to whats happening in society is not it. That is not who she is. She has always been outspoken and lives her life following her beliefs. While I did not care whether she spoke on this issue or not, she chose to do so and made this decision to use her platform to spread a message that is important for so many people right now. Racism isn't a US only problem. It is happening all over the world. If you never had to think about it before then it means you are one of the privileged ones.

Well Gaga’s American, and anyway, anti-blackness isn’t limited to the US. 

I don’t know why fans are disappointed though just because she’s letting other organizations use her Instagram to amplify their messages. It’s not like she can do that much promo right now anyway with corona still out there.
