If anything, that comparison is flattering for both. One is being compared to an artist with a legendary career, and Gaga, being more than 10 years in the game, is still compared to the it girls. From the fading ones (Katy) to the new ones (Dua).

Every single one of those albums (except for dua) had proper promo, although Dua could go on late night shows, did some living room performances and already had a smash lead she performed many times live...

everyone else had live performances, interviews, SNL, public appearances etc.

Gaga will find a way to give this era a repeak, she always does.

Now get your alejandro candles out and start praying that there is an EP/Extended edition coming in a couple of months.

The fact that we were so happy it entered the top 20 in the first place and then it unexpectedly reached #2 on Friday, and still some people are complaining when it has been between #10 and #15 the last few days after almost 2 weeks, we can't compare it to songs like Savage which are THE type of songs people listen/are popular on that platform, even flops like Hot Girl Summer reached #1 there because it's by 3 rappers.
