Everyone who has worked with Gaga has said she gives writing credits out like candy. That’s why so many of her producers are co-writers in her credits. I remember I think it was DJWS who said around the time of BTW that the overwhelming majority of lyrics, melodies and song structures are Gaga and then even the smallest suggestion from other people gets them a writing credit. There’s nothing wrong with having 12 co-writers on a song if the song sounds good. SFA is a great song. If it takes 12 people to make a great song, then why is that such a bad thing? There have been songs with huge commercial and radio success that sound like hot garbage and have 2 writers too. And some have 13 ghost writers and sound like hot garbage too. If the end result of the song is good, the artist had a hand in creating it, and proper credit is given to all involved, why not just enjoy the music?

right?! it is just so distinguishably not her style in a way. It's not about the genre or anything because there are other songs she wrote in that style of music that 100% feel like HER ( Just Another Day, Mirriones Reazones etc...) but those specific songs (Look What I Found & Sinner's Prayer as well as A-Yo to some extent) felt like they were guided by someone else in a way (even though I'm sure she led the creation of those songs of course!)

One thing to remember: people get writing credit if they come up with an instrumental part of the arrangement. This is why producers are also often credited as cowriters even when they aren't part of the main composition and lyric-writing because their arrangement and production makes the song what it is.

The lyric changes and writing instrumental parts (other than piano) is also what got Gaga the credit in TIHTY and it was well deserved. The song would be completely different if it were just piano and voice (which is what Diane wrote).

ROM has so many writers, for example, because it started with Gaga and her team but then Ariana and her team wrote the second part. Same with SFA but in reverse.
