It’s just so funny people complaining about songwriter numbers, like, we should be very happy that Gaga always signs something on songwriting/her music production as a whole. There’s plenty of singers out there that don’t even write an “a” for absolutely nothing on their songs.

it's so odd to me that from my first listen i felt like these songs (especially Sinner's Prayer and Look What I Found) sounded so unlike Gaga and i'm not talking about like the genre being different to what she does or anything. it's just the lyrics and melody structure sounded like they were done by someone else. Come to find out she did not contribute all that much in these songs (though Gaga is well known to be super generous with how she cuts her shares on songs so I am sure she did more than just 25% of the work but you know what I mean). I just find it fascinating that she has such a noticeable structure, lyrical style and melody style that I was able to know that her work on Sinner's Prayer and Look What I Found was minimal compared to other songs! I love that. It sort of confirms to me she totally has a signature sound unique to her and only her  

p.s: I ADORE Sinner's Prayer so I do like that she worked with others on it! the end result was a beautiful track!

It's actually sort of a good sign that fans are talking about it. It means Gaga is known for her songwriting skills!  where as some artists probably haven't lifted a pen since they graduated mandatory elementary school or something

Yes, the 4 writers on Sinner's Prayer equally shared the credit. Gaga, Mark Ronson, Thomas Brenneck and Josh Tillman all got 25% from the song.

 

However, for Look What I Found, Gaga got the most credit:

I feel like Chromatica is probably half and half. Some of the songs are very personal and unique to her journey, with a very classic Gaga structure, whereas some other songs were already well developed before they got to Gaga, and then she added her touch.

We should be grateful that she touches pretty much everything she releases, though. It's crazy to learn how many people are actually involved in the writing of a hit song, and none of them is the artist.

Why are we talking about songwriting percentages when we all know that Gaga is too charitable with them. Even Redone has stated that in the past. Other songwriters credited probably wrote a syllable and she gave them 50% or sum.

I agree completely!!! They really do sound like not really her writing style. Not to mean they're all bad
