it's a shame she smashed on youtube during 2008-2011 when youtube was blowing up and now 2018-2020 when music on youtube is dying. Her recurrent stats barely moved during 2011-2018 meanwhile every other artist that got a hit got during that time period also got huge recurrent stats

I think if ARTPOP wouldn't have floundered Applause would be at least in the 700M range instead at 360M

ASIB helped massively with Spotify but it didn't do the same for her Youtube. Only her big Youtube hits like Poker Face and Bad Romance profited while most other catalog hits only got a small boost.
