The fact our incompetent president and justice system was okay with deploying the military and harming their own citizens because they’re protesting, instead of simply charging and convicting the four officers says a LOT about this country.

It happens in every country that has a fascist as a president

Idk why y'all are jumping the shark - none of them have been convicted yet, right? They could still walk free, and I've seen outlets spin this as 'George had underlying health conditions' so... we'll see...

Either way, I think the protests are far past the point of charging one killer cop - I think a lot of people got very disillusioned about how deep the corruption goes when it comes to law enforcement in the US, and how big a part racism plays in all this - like, so many people have pointed this out but look how different the response from police is to these protests compared to ones from right wing white guys... who bring f***ing assault rifles :laughga:

Arrested is good. Convincted would be (partially) what we need.

Conviction is step 2.  Fair sentencing is step 3.  At least they got the ball rolling, but as Cautious Lurker pointed out, how deep does this structural racism go?  Can we get a fair judge or even an unbiased jury?

Stand in the light, cast your shadow.

Yup, like, I am living in a country right now and all I can say about the U.S. is that it is well on the way to become like us, but worse, since the government holds more power.

It is actually very interesting to see the exact things happening from an outside perspective.

So long ggd, it was nice while it lasted.

That’s exactly how I feel right now. It’s good they’re moving in the right direction, but the sentencing is gonna be the interesting part.

I swear if they let those a**holes walk, America is in for another war.

@Twitter thanks for going out and joining the masses. I went out on Saturday and after that experience I have to say I don’t know if I should go out again this Saturday. I def would need better eye gear if I were to.

Participate but stay safe. I had the proper clothing, but after me and my cousins got harmed and injured our moms want us to stay indoors.

Hopefully you didn’t get hurt.

Depends on what you consider getting your leg cut, eyes burning from tear gas, body pains, and almost getting ran over by cops 4 times. :messga:
