Which is fine :laughga: you're free to do what you want with your vote.

At the end of this year, the reality is we're going to have a reelected Trump or president elect Biden. That's our choices. I prefer the latter and will work towards it...by checking that box on my mail in ballot :poot:

And das it :poot:

You assume that the country won't have fully revolted by then...

That's not such a safe assumption to make at this point, honestly.

MANiCURE 6

Come on...... This man needs to leave the White House as soon as possible. He's totally crazy.

I'm sure he wrote this tweet from his bunker.

I think you have every right to not vote for Biden and get 4 more years of Trump. An emboldened Trump that will come after you in one way or another. You had a chance, a choice. Are you sure you want to throw that away ?

Democrats had a choice to nominate a nominee that isnt a rapist but did it anyway. Are you sure the DNC shouldn't step in? They can but they wont. They could go to the convention and nominate whoever they want and if they were serious about unity, diversity and meeting the moment, Nina Turner would be the nominee for November.

Yes, don't get me wrong. Trump is bad, too. I just can't stand liberals who claim to be angels. At least far right-wingers like Trump are open with their bigotry and hatred. Biden tries to rewrite his own record so that he can pick up a few more votes. I will not let that happen.

Are you referring to Biden as a liberal?

What a dream that would be. I love Nina.

How?

You must be kidding. Biden is a liberal. Is that even possibly contentious?

Actually it was built by slaves whose descendants are still fighting for basic equality and by immigrants who had no other choice by merciless capitalism.

He can say whatever he wants now that he really needs some liberal votes, but I don't believe for a second he'll even mention half the issues again if he were to be sworn in.

Oh, okay. Thanks for clarifying. I agree. What he is showing right now is performative - we know who the real Joe Biden is. He has showed us consistently that he is an evil human.

And while you may be able to put principle aside to vote for him, I am not so sure that I can.

Its more a matter of perspective than principles. Some of you dont like the idea of voting for the lesser of 2 evils, and others prefer the puppy that poops in your bed over the rabid deranged beast.

Biden already said hes just interested in 1 term. Whats the worst thing that can happen if he wins? Because I can make a book of whats the worst that can happen with 4 more years of Trump.

And no, im not "guilt tripping you". But I really feel like you are really underestimating what Trump can do if he wins.

If Biden wins, youll get a new chance for a progressive movement/3rd party in 4 years.

If Trump wins, we would be lucky if the word "vote" is still on the dictionary in 4 years.

Trump won because people put that "principle" on the front and preferred to give the anti-establishment guy a chance over the corrupt monster Hillary. Will you tell me today that it was the right choice? Was it worth it?

But it is ABSOLUTELY a matter of principles. Do your principles allow you to support and vote for someone who is a very credibly accused rapist? Do your principles allow you to support and vote for someone who played a key and primary role in the creation of the latest manifestation of white supremacy: racist law enforcement and criminal justice?

My principles say NO. However, I am keeping an open mind, admittedly, because Trump is proving himself to be so dangerous, as you mentioned.

What is the worst thing that can happen if Biden wins?

Well, as a perpetual liar, he may run for a second term. Well, as a key inventor of racist mass incarceration, he may pass legislation that is even tougher on crime. Well, he might, just as the Obama admin did, send out the national guard in response to protests that he finds uncomfortable.

Most of all, Biden might, due to his values as a corporatist shill, usher in DECADES of incremental, moderate change. This type of change, I will emphasize, is deadly. Every year that a universal health care program is not in place, thousands of people die. Joe Biden will not fix this.

I agree that Trump can do a whole lot of bad over the next four years, but it is not crazy to question if we are better off organizing through means outside of elections until 2024, when we might be able to elect someone whose policies actually reflect the wants/needs of the working people.

Making a choice that you admit is a bad one only perpetuates the system that gave you those bad choices. "Reject the duopoly that does not give us results" is becoming more and more appealing to me.

like I said both are terrible and I don't want either in office, I hate Biden and Trump sorry, if only Bernie was in, it would be better.

The people who are refusing to vote for Biden or Trump do not believe, with justification, that electoral politics are the path forward. They gave at least two tries, counting Bernie, alone, and now they're done. Remember "f*ck around and find out"? This is the "and find out" part.

"How could you call yourself an ally and willingly elect Biden?" is just as a reasonable of a question as the question that you posed.

And the Tara read allegations are a bit more than speculation. What happened to liberals believing women? Oh yeah, they only believe women when it's politically convenient. Such b*llshit. Tara's allegations have greater corroborations that Ford's ever did and liberals like you minimize Tara's allegations as speculation. Shame on you.

Just because Biden is the better man, which is a very subjective claim that could be successfully argued against, does not mean he deserves my vote. Just because you're slightly less monstrous than our current administration does not mean you deserve my vote.

Im far from a Biden cheerleader but if youre going to sell him to others I would suggest you be honest. Biden has no policy. And from a moral perspective, both Trump and Biden are rapists. Biden also will not do "far more" for all the groups you listed. His administration just wont be openly cruel to them and instead choose to be cruel in a technocratic way thats much more opaque. So if you want to sell Biden, my best recomendation is to be realistic about who he is and what he stands for.

the idea that you think the two are even comparable is wildly hysterical.

Biden is a lifelong public servant. He's an actual leader. Meanwhile trump is teargassing peaceful protestors so he can get a photo opp! When we had 100,000 covid death, he was golfing the next day! He has yet to even formally address the national on the civil unrest. Biden has. He cares. It's so clear.

The way Bernie supporters are willing to shore up ANOTHER Trump victory... I'm sorry but the only word that comes to mind is pathetic. Bernie himself is pleading with his supporters to vote for this man. So please do not act like you're doing this for the Revolution.

Let me be clear that I don't think you are pathetic or are a bad person. But Trump is hurting people in this country, throughout this world. We don't know what a Biden admin will look like, but I PROMISE on my life that it will be better than this. Anything could be better than this.

And if you want someone like Bernie to win ever again in the future, I promise you that this is NOT how you make inroads into a two-party system. I personally could not support Bernie in the primary because I knew from experience that his supports would act like this and push the self-destruct button if they didn't get exactly what they wanted.

But Biden is willing to work with you. He's willing and actively working with Bernie. The man WANTS to learn, he wants to see this country go down the path of inclusiveness and progress. Please work with him. Please lobby his team and make them include the policies that you want to see. I know those people and they want your help. They want to work with you to bring you into the tent!
