I know that he's a music critic, but he is very critical of everything he listens to and it's all just opinion stated as fact. As if he's the most intelligent and studied musician who has the right to say what is good and isn't. Never liked his reviews

I'll be myself until they fūcking close the coffin.

Have you seen his BTW review? :neyde:

Nope. I heard enough here on threads, don’t need that negativity in my life.

Sorry but what are you expecting from someone who’s channel is music critique? He’s not a reaction YouTuber...

‘Achievement’ :neyde:

He’s the most popular and influential reviewer on the internet and a good review from him will make thousands of straights check the album out. Isn’t that a good thing? :selena:

Maybe I just don't like art critics in general    I just feel like anyone with that ability to articulate themselves a certain way could call themselves a 'critic' and just blathering on pretentiously about their opinions. And it's like... who cares? Why does this persons opinion matter? It's art, it's going to be received differently by every person who comes across it because we all have unique, objective opinions. I might love a song that other people hate, does that mean my critique is right or more noteworthy because I can use big words?

I'll be myself until they fūcking close the coffin.

He has 2 million subscribers on youtube and his most popular reviews have millions of views :enigma:.

He has also given smaller artists big boosts in popularity after giving them positive reviews.

He is right about the instrumentals in Free Woman and Sine From Above. He doesn't mention 1000 Doves, but I assumed he meant the same thing about those instrumentals. I don't feel that way as much about Free Woman's instrumentals as I do about Sine From Above and 1000 Doves. But I bet he'd like that FW demo a lot better.

Totally disagree about the interludes. They take the album up a notch.

Tbh I knew he'd enjoy the album. I expected him to give it a light 8 though :gaysia: His favorite songs include Alice, Enigma and Babylon, and I couldn't agree more with him (if he had added Free Woman we'd have have the same top 4).

Well it's interesting how literally every reaction video I've seen praises Sine From Above, with most of them saying it's their favorite song :vegas:

911 and Babylon are both very good, but Sine From Above takes it to a whole other level :vegas:

I also don't really understand why you're saying that SFA is generic, by the way...  Like, it's etheral, yet also a huge club banger, but then you also got Elton John on the track (who you wouldn't have expected at all), and then the ending is just literally madness, etc, etc.

SFA haters can stay pressed :queenga:

The instrumentals sounds similar to the generic EDM people threw in songs in the 2010s. The best part of the song is the outro. The song is growing on me, and I like the instrumentals a lot more than 1000 Doves. But I understand the critique.
