The reason why Mosnters should NOT pick singles

Sine From Above please. Nuff said. I love 1000 Doves but it will tank commercially and kills all momentum.

The best single choice is definitely 1000 Doves. It’s enjoyable and lyrically relatable. Out of all the songs, this one I think is the most appealing for radios.

I would also say maybe Sour Candy, but I don’t know how the GP would perceive the Korean parts, but BP’s lines are mostly in English so I guess it’s not a huge deal. But that one is definitely club-ready. :legend:

I’d also like to see how Babylon would do as a single, it’s super catchy and has an interesting dance sound! But that single choice isn’t as realistic as the other 2. But it deserves to be a hit, even if a lot of people probably wouldn’t get it.

Definitely NOT - 911, Alice, Enigma, Replay, Fun Tonight....

We need to stop being concerned about "another G.U.Y. flop." What more can she do to prove this ain't 2013 anymore? Chromatica is going to be a commercial and critical success: its first 2 singles went Top 10 - the 1st time for Gaga since 2011 - with #5 / #1 debuts. There is no way she lets this massively successful comeback end now.

Radio's importance has been downgraded and isn't a WW metric (UK, for ex). Who CARES what is radio-friendly when 1. US radio ignored her Applause > Stupid Love, passing on MR, Shallow, etc.; 2. its weight for BB100 was reduced; 3. she ALREADY earned 2 mainstream smashes off Chromatica?

I think the following would all be great singles for promoting Chromatica as an album that pushes pop in a new direction sonically and/or highlights Gaga's mature blend of her earlier dance-pop days with the mature vocals found on C2C > ASIB:

TIER 1: Free Woman*, Fun Tonight, Enigma

TIER 2: Plastic Doll, Babylon, Sine From Above*

TIER 3: 911*, Alice, Replay

Free Woman has a MV, fits mainstream discussions of 2020 on gender equality, has a relatable + catchy hook, and would give the era an iconic solo (no special guest needed) smash to make her discography/best hits less front-loaded. I'd choose this for Single 3.

Sine From Above seems perfect for a UK+EU release; UK Charts don't measure radio, so it would smash there, and if released after 08/31 could be submitted for 2022 Best Pop Duo. Combining it with Replay / 911 in the US (09/11 + 09/04 or 09/18) would be a great close: each song will boost the other on streaming, and she can promote mental health with 1/both being fundraisers for BTWF.

06/12 = Sour Candy limited release (Asia) single + 06/15 = official MV (animated if needed)

07/03 = Free Woman single + official MV

09/04 = Replay/911 single + official MV

09/11 = Sine From Above limited release (UK, EU, AUS) single

11/06 = Enigma single + official MV (possible; if era is successful and promo opportunities become more readily available... these could help with 2022 Grammy momentum, Enigma promo, etc.)

We shouldn't use Joanne or other artists as a benchmark for Chromatica singles. Joanne was meant to be a short era post-ARTPOP rebrand to highlight her vocals/songwriting and soften the transition pre-ASIB.

There is NO way they wouldn't have released a 3rd single after Million Reasons' peak went from #54 to #4 post-Superbowl if they didn't know something much bigger was to come with ASIB.

I think Babylon has so much potential. It's such a great song and catchy. I hope she doesn't go for Alice or Free Woman right now, those are such safe choices, especially right after Stupid Love and Rain On Me.

I think that (after, of course, Sour Candy, that song is screaming "MAKE ME A SINGLE AND PUT OUT A VIDEO!") 911, Enigma and/or Replay should be singles: 911 is the most played album single and that could mean a lot to determine its success, while both Enigma and Replay are, for me, perfect for radio:vegas:

And I think replay would do exceptionally well in the UK. they lean towards that sound
