I can't when people suggest Alice should be a single :ohwell:

It would not do well on the radio.

True. Just let it be a fan favorite, the GP is not gonna get it.

I think Babylon has the most potential to become another signature hit for Gaga. I also see Plastic Doll doing really well on radio tbh, it reminds me of Taylor's 1989 sound.

I think the best way to pick the next single from the album is to see the most popular album track outside of the singles. Sour Candy is clearly the winner

To me, 1000 Doves is too safe and too basic of a song to do well on the charts, it somehow resembles The Cure sonically and we all know how much it flopped generally speaking. I think only either Babylon or Replay have the potential to do any buzz on the charts and even become signature Gaga songs.

The ONLY songs that need to be singles next are Alice and Sour Candy (But I'll also settle for SFA or Babylon):ohwell:

I'll agree on 1000 Doves being a single only if it's the piano version.

Looking back at ASIB/Shallow's HUGE success, SL's moderate success, I can't see any other option for the third single than 1000 Doves/SFA (Radio Edit). Since Clubs aren't a thing nowadays and the radio is what Gaga should target right now, most songs from Chromatica aren't perfect fit for a single. Fan favourites Alice, 911 etc do not seem to be perfect radio choices, however mosters want them to be singles. Following GP's and fan reactions on YT, I hear many opinions that 1000 Doves should be the next single and it's a perfect radio song. It's balladish, but with a dance twist and very promising vocals that would slay live performances. I know gays are thirsty for some club bops but it isn't what GP necessarily wants and after all y'all will be moaning about the next single flopping. I know SL wasn't fans' choice, but it's a perfect song for a gay club. Jook how the single is doing on the radio. We still will be able dance to new Gaga songs in clubs, but I can't imagine any success for Alice in terms of general public. It's gonna repeat G.U.Y's fate. Let's trend SFA and 1000 Doves as singles meterial because they fit both: clubs (possibly remixes) and radios.

Lots of love!

aren't you also a fan though so why are you picking?

My only concern with Enigma is similar to the problem I had with SL in that it doesn't have a very strong chorus/hook like

"Is what I am seeing real, or is it just a sign?
Is it all just virtual?
We could be lovers, even just tonight
We could be anything you want
We could be jokers, brought to the daylight
We could break all of our stigma
"

all feels like build up/a pre-chorus with the actual chorus just being

"I'll, I'll be your enigma" + instrumental

just like

"I want your stupid love" + instrumental

But I do love the song. I'd personally love to see it get single treatment I just don't know if it's a very strong choice.

I mean the pre chorus is the “is what I am seeing real, or is it all just virtual” & then the chorus hits which the first time around is mainly vocals do it can build to the drop but the last 2 choruses have the backing beat to add more of a kick. Unlike Stupid Love it actually has a chorus (thank god) instead of 2 lines of lyrics 😂 plus it has the call-response formula, a lot of the songs do which is great because it causes more interaction with the listener. I just think it’s the most radio friendly & the lyrics are as straight forward as they can be. A lot of Gaga songs don’t have straight forward lyrics & the message can get confused with the GP who don’t necessarily pay attention to the lyrics the first time around, the melody is what hooks them & the melody is strong on this track. I do understand what you’re saying though.

I love SFA and 1000 Doves is cute, but they sound very 2012 dated pop. Now, that's no problem with me, since I miss that sound so much, but I doubt people will consume that.

The trend now is pop songs with a not so loud instrumental (Blinding Lights, Say So, Don't Start Now and Rain On Me stands there too).

I think Sour Candy fits in this category well and maybe Babylon.

I'm sorry, but what exactly is loud about 1000 Doves' instrumental? It's very calm, chill, and pulsating. It's honestly really nice to listen to. She could also release the piano demo and slay multiple markets with it.

The drop is very ~2012/13

I am a fan, yes. I love Gaga but musically I prefer other genres. I was listening to Gaga passionately till 2011, and me being her loyal fan is a consequence of my love for her back then. Ever since I am much more of an observer than an active listener. Still, I stream her music because I wish her success

I think that (after, of course, Sour Candy, that song is screaming "MAKE ME A SINGLE AND PUT OUT A VIDEO!") 911, Enigma and/or Replay should be singles: 911 is the most played album single and that could mean a lot to determine its success, while both Enigma and Replay are, for me, perfect for radio:vegas:
