Her rejection of mainstream conventions is a protection mechanism, lol. "You can't reject me if I reject you first." She still self-sabotages herself when it comes to ~celeb friendships, like refusing to hang out with Ariana, who literally just wanted to be her friend. In the Zane Lowe interview, she explains she grew up without female mentors or friends in the industry, just a few father-ly mentors and she doesn't want that for the next gen of pop girls.

I don't really understand the contempt for her LA houses or god forbid little chanel backpack, she owns dresses worth the price of homes :laughga: she's always been that girl.

Tbh I love that she owns dresses worth more than a house but I don’t know.. seeing her with that backpack in normal clothes with a Starbucks really just made me think “LA girl” which I know she’s far from. But it was everything she was against but I love the casual look still.

The queen of Gagadaily. Keepin it real

Gorl she betrayed all her "rules" literally at ARTPOP, and made a public declaration about it too. Yes I miss that Gaga with strong opinions and values, but tbh she had always been obsessed with fame from the getgo from the fame to Chromatica, she talks about these subjects.. It makes sense she got swallowed up by the Hollywood lifestyle when she low-key lives for it and always has ("I've always been famous"). Plus, she has grown older, and I guess age will change anybody's values, interests, and opinions etc.

Sis, she’s been doing it for so many years now. Also, there’s nothing bad about it and she was waaay younger when she said the things she wouldn’t do. People change and mature and i’m sure she realized that wearing jeans and flat shoes is not that bad after all. I think she used to say a lot of stuff just to sound weird back in 2009/2010 and she even confirmed that i think.

I think Gaga grew up by what she experiences and her path that she went through. Chromatica is such a cohesive and powerful album that reflects many perspective of experiences and things that she gained, realized, and let go. I love the Gaga now so much. Even though the album was about Gaga Is still wondering about the world and her two identities, it makes me feel like she knows who she is now but still humble saying that she can be different by learning of what shes going to experience next.

Listen, I love our queen and the way she is now, so don’t come at me! I’m just curious  but don’t you think It’s funny how she would never move to LA, live in a mansion, have celebrity friends? Do you think she changed and just grew out of her going against the grain?  I just find it weird how she apparently chills with celebs now  :neyde:  I just seen the pics from today and now she just goes out in just normal clothes and shows off her designer bags. I don’t know.. I love her but I miss the old her when she said all the things she wouldn’t do, Also don’t come at me with plastic doll lyrics as that’s my anthem. Anyway rant over... Do you think gaga grew up and the crazy gaga outfits are just for promo/work?

That outfit she was seen in yesterday was not completely 'normal clothes' exactly either :p

I think, as everyone, she grows up indeed. I think she may have toned it down a bit, that the extreme eccentric Gaga as we know was really that period of time, when she was younger. She's still extravagant and all, it's who she is, but it's probably become more balanced now with other parts of her, as she's maturing. And that I guess results in 'less crazy', but as I said, there's still A LOT OF crazy :D Especially now again with Chromatica.

I don't think "the crazy gaga outfits are just for promo/work". That would make me kinda sad, tbh.
Us having been with her for 12 years already, we know who she is (not personally of course) and that she IS extravagant, but eg. now with Chromatica being more in line with the extravagant in bold big letters, like pre-2015, only she and the people close to her know if she's "artificially" upping the crazyGa again or if it's 100% like how she feels now.
In any way, I believe and have confidence in that, no matter what of the 2 options here above are the truth, what we're seeing is (still) authentic.

She spoke about this in an interview I think during the Joanne era saying that keeping up the facade is impossible, and that she's a person just like everybody else. She loves fashion though and will keep serving looks, just not 100% of the time.

(Not her exact words but thats what it comes down to)

I think she's just a person and people are multifaceted and layered. She's not in her early 20's anymore. She probably has different wants and needs than she did when The Fame came out. Different values, different things are important to her.

At the core I'm sure she's the same Stefani she's always been, but yeah, maybe a bit more grown up.

Are we referring to the photo of her going to Starbucks? Because the sports bra and leggings she's wearing are still VERY Gaga :laughga:

Indeed, different wants and needs.

When she started out, she wanted to make a name for herself, which is completely understandable and also one of the reasons we fell so in love with her. She went all in and put her art first. Her vision those years was "I want to make it".

She still does put her art first and is still reaching for the stars, as an artist you're never "ok, now I've done it all", you want to continue to have new projects and challenge yourself. And luckily, she's still exploring more and pushing herself to make the best art, because she loves it. But now there are also other things that are important in her life or have become more important in her life: love, family, owning a house etc.
