People still bash her because she's a white privileged woman and it's easy for her to speak up. But she literally said that herself in the statement AND if she doesn't say anything people will also criticize her. What more can she do? Please don't suddenly blame her for releasing her album, she only tweeted about that the day of the release. It's bringing people some joy in these difficult times. And knowing Gaga, she is trying everything she can behind the scenes to help out. I am not American. I am a white, Scottish, European man. And every single time I switch on the news here, or read twitter/GGD, I see the tragic stories from America. I find it disgusting that this is happening in the US. I am angry for POC at the systemic racism that is still happening in your country. I cry when I see so many innocent lives lost. This is 2020, not 1950. Racism should NOT be happening... and it should certainly not come from the president of your country. Trump is disgusting. Use your voice when you go to vote. Iâm pretty sure she already donated and I can see her going in the streets. Doesnât mean that she posts stories of her protesting like sumn of the edgy white instagram influencers who annoy me so much when they do poses with slogans and put 500 filters over it. They are romanticizing what they are doing with this. Not saying you canât post if you go in the streets. I just think you should not make it look pretty or aesthetically pleasent for your feed. With that said she doesnât need to prove herself. she tweeted several times about it! And she will speak up more! She tweeted the right way and admitted she is a white privileged woman. The only thing she could maybe do is add links and socials to the funds where people need to donate too. She already send out phone numbers of officials wich is great! But she doesnât need to post receipts of her donating or going in the streets. A donation to the bail fund would be awesome of her - this is the main thing celebs can do IMO. I don't think she should be out and about when she's been a long time smoker.
