I disagree with you on that. Sine would make a great single and I think the GP would connect

Your friends are only one portion of the GP remember

True they are, but they come from various backgrounds, all of them are straight, from party to business people and if they all said no, for me it's not a definite thing, but a good indicative. And I also share their opinion to the extent that I do not think it would work well as a single... again, piano version yes.

But hey, different opinions... who knows what will Gaga do in the upcoming months, maybe she chooses it and we'll see how it goes.

So does the era end with rain on me or :billie:

Honestly, she should make a MV with Blackpink and push that one more and yea... unfortunately that would be it, I don't see any of the songs performing better than John Wayne did :( (again repearing, I love the album, love the songs... not sure how many single material songs are left really...)

Babylon, but I’d change the lyrics because it’s meaningless and an insult to the real ancient city of Babylon. The song sounds wonderful though

You gotta be joking :saladga:

I just don't understand why some people hate stupid love. It's one of my favorite songs from Chromatica

bees and honeyy

I would kinda be into there being no single before the album. A bit like K-12. Lots of short Chromatica teasers with clips from different songs, and then I guess going from whichever song gets the best fan response, pushing that one as the lead single (could be dropped the day before the album like Sour Candy to create even more hype). I imagine the lead single would be Babylon, but there would be MVs for non singles too.

How is it an insult to the city of Babylon? The city that doesn't really exist anymore.

it's definitely not meaningless... her talking about Babylon is not just randomly for aesthetic.. its a story with a lot of implications and a message easily connected to the album's concept.

Babylon stands for a lot more than just the city state and empire in a historical sense.

it's just done in a campy, that's it. Don't underestimate / discredit her artistry.

I think Enigma could have worked honestly. Ties to the show, sounds great, isn’t a bad song. I stan it

It’s irrelevant how much of the city is left. Point is the name implies a deeper meaning, not a play on “babble on”. That’s like making a song called Pharaoh and then finding out it’s about someone telling their love to cum hard telling enemy to shoot Far... Ohh so Phar...oh... pharaoh, ancient ruler style 🤣

Artistry is overused here, just lien cultural reset.

What’s the story here? Gossip and babbling on rhyming with a city that resembles a country’s cultural heritage?

Stupid Love is the only song on Chromatica that I feel DOESN'T fit on the album. It should've been the bonus track. It sounds loud and rough with a twist of 80's like most of BTW. The rest of the album has 90's dance/house vibes.

So no, I don't think it should've been lead. Rain on Me should've been - it's strong lyrically and musically. Sour Candy should've been 2nd single.

You are welcome. And I don't get that reference. Either way they are fantastic people, and that's what matters in the end, I don't judge them on their taste.

The babble on lyrics is from the Bible. She references the tower of Babel in it. It's just a play on words. You can't insult a culture whose indginous people don't exist anymore. Babylon doesnt exist anymore.

Then don't judge GP. You have no clue how they might react to Sine From Above.

Babylon is in Iraq. Iraq exists and people have descended from those over generations. The point of “insult” isn’t like insulting native Americans today, but like making a joke out of a rather deeper concept.

I don’t get where you got the idea that something has to exist in this day to be respect. I mean do we piss on people’s graves because they don’t exist?

Literally the only change I think should've been made to this song is that the chorus & choir should have been much louder but I think the song is perfect. It's about gossip so babble on isn't only appropriate but it sounds cute. Not all songs have to have deep dark depressing meanings. But I respect your opinion nevertheless:ohwell:
