Hybrid AT 78 Posted May 30, 2020 Share Posted May 30, 2020 There are clearly influences from the type of music she put on that playlist - French house, Hi-NRG, disco, funk, electro-house etc. The sound was the inspiration for the album. And iirc, she said in the introduction video "this is a playlist Bloodpop and I curated for you to enjoy in the meanwhile" meaning to prepare the listener for what the album would sound like and familiarize themselves with the genres. The influences are clearly there and you can't even deny it "I was protected by the monks of Azarath, I was raised by my friends. They are my family, this is my home and you are not welcome here."
