There is only one skip on the album for me...

Hey, it's okay not to like it or to be underwhelmed by it. Different people are going to have different reactions.

For me, it's her most cohesive album, and I think the sum of its parts is greater than any one song. That doesn't mean there aren't some standouts, but it just works so well to me as album, and I find myself wanting to listen to the entire album on repeat instead of just focusing on favorite tracks. And for me, on different listens, different songs will stand out to me as favorites. Some songs admittedly are growers for me, but just when I think a song is lackluster, I listen to it again and am like, "No, that's amazing!" And every song except for "Sine from Above" (and the interludes) makes me want to get up and shake my groove thing.

I'm also looking forward to her live performances and seeing how she changes up things. I still prefer the performances when it's just her and a piano, so I'm excited for some of those.

But again, if it's not your cup of tea, so be it. It's okay to be disappointed.

lyrics could be so much better

SFA is literally one of the most well-written songs on the album (and one of Gaga's best tbh).

For people that don't understand that SFA's production is not really that good - this is how you produce and deal with a song with Elton John in it, this is a masterpiece that SFA should've been:

The song is so perfect for Gaga's vocals, too. Jfc, just imagine  :diane:

I know you didn't like the album, but stop forcing people to believe what is 'good production' and what's not. We get it, you didn't like the album. Let people enjoy it. Such a mood killer.

I was like you upon first listen, but now I’m totally loving this album cause it doesn’t take itself too seriously, it’s fun and has some great bops.

But here’s the deal, not everybody will like the album and that’s okay, but was it necessary to make a thread about it? I don’t think so.

Don't listen to people saying something is wrong if you don't like this album. Gaga makes diverse music and that means it won't click with everyone. I am not crazy about it either. It's not an insult to Gaga or your love for her at all. My other favorite artists, since they've been in the game a long time, have all made albums I'm not crazy about. This is the  most club-beat album she's made and some people are into that, others are not. Ok, move on. It's not a personal insult to not like a certain album very much. If you act like it is, you need to check your priorities.

I'll never understand why people on this site feel compelled to open a brand new thread just to share their negative opinion when there are plenty of album discussion threads :rip: If every person that enjoyed the album started a thread to declare that individual opinion then the site would be down for a week :air: Like... you don't like it. Okay? And?

"This is how you produce and deal with a song with Elton John in it" - I'm pretty sure Elton John himself can decide what songs he'd like to participate in instead of being pigeon holed :air: What a bizarre thing to say

They like to spread negative points of view because the phrase is "misery loves company". Negativity cannot survive alone and must be backed up by peer support.

That's why social media and forums are generally full of people loudly proclaiming "I dont like that! Look at me not liking it!" So others join in and the people feel validated.

No shade to anyone, its human nature.

No, its trash. I love Kate Bush but if I wanted I nap I wouldn't put music on at all.

I kinda agree. I'm 24, how do even I think this music is kinda generic and weak? Are we both too old now, OP?!

This was the album I accepted we might never get another massive, experimental 11/10 album like Born This Way from her again :bradley:

Yeah... It's very, like "look I don't like this!". Just go dislike it and listen to something else lol.

has it crossed your mind that maybe because it's a Gaga forum, more specifically Gaga Thoughts and to be the most specific, it's tagged with "opinion"? :billie:
