They did. Kylie and her family fed Forbes inaccurate numbers about her profit margins and revenues in the previous years so that Forbes could come to the conclusion that Kylie Cosmetics could be a billion dollar company.

They claimed they had a profit margin of 44% (in reality they have below 25%), their skin care line was claimed to have made $100M in revenue, when it actually only crossed $25M, their 2017 revenue was claimed to have been $307M, but when she sold Kylie Cosmetics to Coty, the contract stated that the 2019 revenues were only $177M. So either way their revenue SHRUNK by almost half in only two years of business (which is unlikely), or they had reported fake numbers right from the getgo to seem more profitable.

it was EXTREMELY obvious and i am glad Forbes is calling it out. Forbes was a mess for even publicating that obvious lie. At most I think her cosmetic brand is worth 200M which would be enormous already. No need for her and her family to inflate that already huge success.
