My only concern about Sour Candy is the fact that kpop stans don’t mess with songs for too long. There isn’t really longevity in kpop, if they don’t release a video in MAX 3 weeks which even that is too much in my opinion, 1 week would be best but the video I doubt exists right now, I fear the hype will die down. We don’t need this to go nr 1, and it won’t realisticly speaking, but it could go top 5- top 3. But looking at the situation in the world right now, I don’t see how they could film an MV that quick. I’m scared :toofunny:

The misconception is so wrong. Kpop generally yes. But blackpink is different.

They have steady streaming power due to lack of material (they only have 13 songs for 3 years). The problem will be when Blackpink release in June. All the force will be focused there to break all record for their own song.

Hence, the sour candy will fade into the background when blackpink has their new song out in June and album in september this year

WHAT I didn't realize there was no explicit song until now:air:

Yaassss rake that parental cash Gaga.

OT: it could be that Chromatica + Future Nostalgia + Blinding Lights sparked a lot of nostalgia in the US, so even old songs such as Britney's are rising again (as I understood it, the song had already been released years ago, right?).

This protest might be affecting Gaga numbers in the US. It’s a dangerous situation because everyone is being labeled a racist right now. The Madonna headline is all over my time line.

No it's a Japan exclusive track from Glory I believe.

Supersonic

I just wrote a super polite email to Metacritic's editorial staff asking if they could change the score of the AV club review to an 85 because the author said on Twitter he'd grade chromatica as a 85/100 and not a 75/100. Let's see if anything happens. :chica:

The song is a fan-favourite that was never officially released anywhere outside Japan as a deluxe bonus track. It will fall off tomorrow.

Hmm that is also true, I really feel like they should ride this wave right now fast. I also lowkey feel like YG is waiting to see how Sour Candy does and the potential it has which is the reason they didn’t set a fixated date for their june release. So maybe there’s hope in that? I don’t know, but either way it has to happened if it does in the next few weeks. Is America closed off? Could Gaga travel or Blackpink fly there?
