I think it does rely a lot on its production value intentionally, and structurally it feels different to any of her previous albums, but I actually think this is one of her most personal albums once you break down the lyrics. It's nostalgic, it's melancholic, and it's all coated in a shiny layer of electronic music to ''dance the pain away,'' but at the end of the day it talks about some of Gaga's darkest days.
