The man in the clip was never confirmed to be a police officer. First off

You saw one clip and concluded that cops were the ones who set over 3 mega buildings on fire????

Chile

Umm sweetheart the ex-wife of the cop came out and exposed him. Also this has happened before where anarchists have invaded peaceful protest to wreak havoc on black and brown neighborhoods.

Going back to the clip. A white man comes and breaks into an Auto-zone and immediately afterward there is another white man with Molotov and you seriously don’t believe that it was set up to incite riots that lead to looting and the massive destruction of black neighborhoods.

White anarchists are using this situation to destroy these black neighborhoods because the damage that was done will take decades to fix. They will be able to go back to their suburban homes and sleep comfortably while black people will be left to rot.

This tactic is not unheard of. You can believe whatever you want to.

Why is it always your FIRST instinct to ‘speak facts’ yada yada yada when you could just say you support the movement and Go

I ALWAYS see you on here posting stuff like this and lowkey defending the aggressor. Like all the time. What’s up with that? Most of us see your username especially under topics like this and immediately go notchu notchu

Oh god this whole situation is a mess

I am as pissed off by this whole situation as everyone (obvious by my long twitter rants) but I wouldn't support burning down buildings and damaging businesses like this, I understand where it comes from, but I wouldn't support the burning down of the Target and autozone, and am 100% for peaceful protests and if it wasn't for Coronavirus I would totally be out there participating in peaceful protests as well

Anyways, mini rant, people are trying to blame his death on heart disease, yeah he conveniently died of heart disease while a cop had his knee on his neck and he was saying "I can't breath" until he passed out, what the actual f*ck. Also the arrest of that CNN reporter is f*cking horrifying, this is violating the first amendment period, its on video this man getting arrested for simply covering the riots BY THE MINNESOTA STATE POLICE, and then they release him and LIE TO US BY SAYING THEY RELEASED HIM ONCE HE SAID HE WAS PRESS EVEN THOUGH HE CLEARLY SAID THAT HE WAS A REPORTED MULTIPLE TIMES IN THE VIDEO, oh and he had a CNN camera, a microphone, they are blatantly lying to us, and violating the first amendment, also they didn't tell him why he was arrested which is a violation of the crews Miranda rights, thats f*cking terrifying, and its the police trying to censor the media

Lets do it baby I know the Law

do you believe that being a cop puts them on a higher moral ground?

Police officers have raped citizens, planted drugs, stolen belongings, killed innocent people, used unnecessary force when dealing with POC; but breaking windows and destroying black businesses is out of the realm of possibility. (I don’t believe cops set fire to every building but it isn’t unbelievable for rouge cops to destroy places where black people work)

These acts of violence go further then just being angry. People (intentionally/unintentionally) are using this situation to destabilize those neighborhoods. This goes beyond my feelings concerning the death. I’m concerned about the destruction of that neighborhoods economy, the homes and businesses, and overall it’s reputation.

I dont think destroying an entire city is going to help anyone or make anything better and yes police bruttalaty needs to stop but this is not the way to do it

I don't think it's white people's place to be criticizing this. We have no idea how these people are feeling at the moment. They are constantly being let down by the system. They are angry and they want change. Rightfully so.

I think it's an aspect of privilege to not understand the mindset in Minneapolis right now.

I'm not condoning the violence, but it is not my place to condemn it. We have to understand why this is happening and change it.

How about instead of us judging people that are rightfully angry, we stand up and demand action. One of the easiest ways we can do that is by voting. Not just president, but down ballot too.

There are White people particapating in these riots too

The killing of innocent black lives, not 'police brutality'.

Let's stop with this. Black people protested peacefully, knealing during the national anthem over countless other things, and were told that 'this is not the way to do it.' The entire system is designed against them, and has proven time and time again that protesting peacefully will not bring them their rights. Black people do not and shouldn't care if whether anyone else thinks this is the way to do it or not. They are fighting for the long list of brothers and sisters who have died at the hands of white supremacist policemen and have never recieved justice for their murder. That is something that non-black people will never understand and have absolutely no say in.
