What's your point? The virus is here to stay like all the other viruses around. It wont disappear because the world was in lockdown. 

Also, South Korea didnt have a strict lockdown. They had some restrictions, but nothing like US and Europe.

To be fair South Korea had more advanced testing and tracing systems than most of the world

 

But I also believe how strong a lock down is in itself is not the only factor and people pointing out one countries methods doesn't mean it will work in another

 

For example Sweden never did a full lockdown and even tho the numbers weren't great there they weren't the disaster some expected. But there's also factors in its favour such as a high proportion of single people living per housing unit (people that live alone and can't pass it to another family member)... Population density (in fact the capital Stockholm with higher density than most of the country is what got hit harder)

 

Then there's culture. In some countries people may simply be better and being careful and following direction than others

 

Most debates seem to be lockdown vs no lockdown does it work. I think there's a lot of variables that are being ignored in these debates that matter as well. How quickly and how severe a lockdown was is not the one and only factor at play here or some holy grail

 

That being said I'm skeptical of anyone that just says lockdowns don't work without very direct proof. If people are spending less time with others because of a lockdown and more time at home, the chances and opportunities for spread should reduce. It's a very basic concept that seems hard to refute to me and countries that have done it have seen the spikes cool down shortly after

 

That also doesn't mean I support just constant lockdowns cuz the economy matters too. But I haven't seen enough evidence to prove that they don't work if there's a sudden spike that needs to be controlled

The thing is "lockdown works /doesnt work" is the wrong thing to say. We should ask if it is effective? And unfortunately the answer is no. 

To make a comparasion : you can fight HIV by :

1. Not having sex

2. Using a condom.

people can choose the first version for themself, but dont force anyone else to choose 1, when 2 works just fine.
