Maybe u dont understand that social distancing measures can exist outside of lockdowns? How about Anthony Fauci, an American physician and immunologist who has served as the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases since 1984. It's really common sense, the countries that locked down had cases/deaths that went down, the US States that opened prematurely are seeing cases rise. It's really common sense. Nope, I didn't read it, because I know 99% of your threads on here tend to be flamebait I just don't have you on ignore because you occasionally do say something insightful or amusing, especially when it comes to Gaga. I just really am not a fan of your politics. Anyway, leaving the thread now. Don't @ me

Eighteen 5,430
i mean... i've seen the lockdown work FIRST HAND. hawaii with no lockdown, cases begin trickling, then rising exponentially; as lockdown progressed, cases dwindled and slowed and now we're several days with no new cases. i mean.... just use your common sense. RichAssPiss 5,032
This is exactly why there was a deadlier second wave of the 1918 flu. People insisted it was an overreaction and did not continue prevention measures. Hundreds of thousands died.

It was actually well known that lockdowns arent effective from previous studies. Now that the hysteria is going down, other scientists remind people of that. And the data agrees with them. If we dont take serious noble winners, what kind of "experts" should we take serious? .... If I remember correctly, and feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, but there are two VERY important organizations that study illnesses and diseases (including pandemics and epidemics) - organizations composed of highly trained and knowledgeable scientists. The World Health Organization (WHO) and the CDC (Center for Disease Control) who, as I've said are HIGHLY knowledgeable of these kinds of situations. Now, did these two organizations have recommendations that were eventually discovered to be ineffective? They did. But with every. single. new disease and/or sickness there has to be research on how it spreads, why it spreads etc etc etc. Since COVID-19 is something we haven't seen before (at least in this strain and magnitude) it took time to understand it and meanwhile they recommended things to try prevent the spread. Both organizations as well as THOUSANDS of other scientists and doctors all say lockdown and social distancing are effective ways to minimize infection while a vaccine is being developed. There is ZERO agenda with these organizations. They don't want economic collapse. They don't want governmental ruin. They literally want to save lives. That's their first priority. And I'm so sick and tired of people trying to discredit these incredible humans who are trying to save lives by dedicating hundreds of thousands of hours to figuring out how to save the entire world from dying from this illness. TOSK 640
From Business Insider Overwhelming evidence suggests that lockdowns help contain coronavirus outbreaks and prevent additional deaths. Italy's lockdown prevented around 200,000 hospitalizations, according to a recent study. Another study found that Wuhan's restrictions prevented tens of thousands of infections throughout the Hubei province. While it's possible to reduce transmission through social distancing alone, lockdowns ensure that citizens abide by these guidelines. https://www.businessinsider.com/coronavirus-lockdowns-successful-evidence-from-around-the-world-2020-

TOSK 640
Coronavirus cases spiked after these counties reopened. Now, officials are scaling back. Sonoma County was one of the first regions in California to begin reopening after months of restrictions aimed at controlling the spread of the coronavirus. Public health officials loosened constraints on construction, car sales and landscaping services in early May. A week later, they began allowing retail stores to reopen for curbside pickup and delivery. Last week, outdoor dining, summer camps, drive-in religious services and other ceremonies were allowed to resume. Then, coronavirus cases began rising again, forcing officials to slow the county’s efforts to reopen. https://www.latimes.com/california/story/2020-05-28/coronavirus-cases-spiked-after-these-counties-reopened-now-officials-are-scaling-back Wisconsin reports record number of new coronavirus cases, deaths Wisconsin saw a record number of new coronavirus cases and deaths, two weeks after the state’s Supreme Court struck down its stay-at-home order. https://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news/wisconsin-reports-record-number-new-coronavirus-cases-deaths-n1216471 12 U.S. States Where Coronavirus Cases Are Rising As coronavirus lockdown measures in the U.S. are eased, several states have reported an increase in new cases over the past few weeks. Do you think the world should stay lockdown until a vaccine is out because of a danger that it is for some groups at 0,0003% ? also, I can point you out to places that have reopen and didnt see an increase in cases. It shows that other things are important. Do u have any information on how many tests were made? Yea, let's go behind the title. There are more positives than before the reopening or not? Also, maybe u should also look up the studies on the effects. No one said that lockdowns didnt have an influence. We are talking about effectiveness. That doesnt exists when the negative effects are higher than the positive ones, if u dont understand.
