Saying SOPHIE is making pots and pans sounds is so reductive. :reductive:

She is imo revolutionising electro music, and she can produce dance pop bops that are just so  even straight people would turn totally gay :ally:

She’s making sounds which are out of this world, and would have totally been perfect for Chromatica’s theme.

I’m looking forward to seeing a future collab between Gaga and her, because I’m sure it will scalp the entire humanity. Actually it’s not that bad that she’s not on Chromatica, you people complaining that some are sad not to see SOPHIE on the album are probably not ready for such slayage anyway :ohwell:

i don't think the GP is ready yet.

sis that's where you loose reason

it's nothing so sensational it's just a slightly different type of pop production :triggered:

But the fact that you call people simple minded just because they dont like Sophie's music was kinda rude and unessicary

And I stand by that for those who make fun of her music in pathetic ways.

honestly? i'm defending Sophie but people are delusional about her sound being "wow so unheard of before"

i feel pretencious defending her among this narrative

at least fandom doesn't define artist...

go listen to some ryuichi sakamoto if you want weird production

peace

Except it's not. People have this imbecile way of thinking that they have to agree with everything they read or else the world's gonna fall apart, or something. So what, even if I do think she's beyond? Does me expressing that mean you automatically have to agree with me? Are you really that dumb? (I'm obviously using 'you' as a general term, btw.)

If she was on it you’d complain that the song would sound too harsh, experimental, and mechanical. She can never please y’all.

secondhand kick on the ribs

idk man, ur not wrong, but what people get mad about is her being marketed as a super idiossyncratic artist when she's just an underground pop artist

it gets boring, like, just appreciate her artistry, don't pretend it's the cure for cancer (i'm not saying YOU do it)

of course music is subjective, but there are so much more producers with unique styles that are flying under the radar over sophie or charli or idk hannah diamond being called "future of pop" when they're all on the same spectrum of sonority :green: and it branches from something we've heard already in the past decade, which we got overexposed to in 2009/10 with david guetta

of course we're talking pop music here not music as a whole, but people aren't buying into their status of "futuristic"

what would i suggest as an alternative u say? of course this is also pretencious, but i think "significant music" which would earn this title of avant garde are pieces like Lorde's The louvre, which uses her heartbeats for drums

please take this as being written from the perspective of a sophie fan, i just think people are more in love with hyping her up as some alien figure for the mainstream than they are with really listening to her music, and this does more harm than good

and i'm talking about why i think people see her as an annoyance (which they are wrong about anyways)

did i make sense? i'm drowzy, so sorry if i went in circles

The amount of pretentiousness in this thread :billie:

oh noooo someone doesn’t like one of my fave producers oh noooo they’re making joking about her oh noooo they must be simpletons with no taste whatsoever. I am very unique. I am very different. I am better than you for liking weird, non-mainstream music even tho I’m in a pop star forum :billie:

Gracious Gaga

If the collab existed and was good enough to release, it would get released . So maybe it never happened or was rejected
