Longer tracks tend to be more repetitive too, and we DO NOT want that, right ladiez?:hor:

Gotta take in to consideration that CHROMATICA is house-influenced and will likely have a faster bpm/tempo than all those you mentioned. Shocked that Perfect Illusion was 3 mins - felt like the song goes on forever sometimes. Proves your point perfectly 👌🏼🤣💕

That's a strange one to include to prove your point - you do know it's not Gaga's song, right :vegas:

a cover can be like... any length the covering artist chooses

BUT Rain On Me is awesome so imagine the slayery of a longer version

Not needed. The song works perfectly short, snappy and to the point

Of course. But regardless, it's still a song that Gaga recorded. And it feels complete; still proves the point.

I mean, not to nitpick... but what else am I supposed to do till Chromatica is released - you did say "Gaga and her teammates are fully capable of making shorter songs that still feel complete" - her team did not make that song, it was already written and recorded, all they had to do was follow the blueprint from which they did not stray very far since the original recording is also 3 minutes :vegas:

It's a joke! When you give me that look, it's a joke!

and this one happens to be pretty much the same length as the original :vegas:

Skabi

personally i didnt have a meltdown but gaga's most iconic songs are at about 4 minutes long and each has something that makes it sound so "gaga". i just feel like these songs will lack the IT factor that makes them be bops, i fear that they will leave me with wanting more. though i cant say that im not anticipating for the album or that im angry about the lengths, im mostly disappointed with the sour candy length. its 2.37 for a 5 people song lol

Let a bitch whines in peace. I personally prefer songs aroud 4 minutes as they usually have more rooms for creative elements, to play around with dynamics and just generally more lyrics.

If you actually listen to it, it pretty much ends at 3:03, so not 8 seconds - you could argue that Gaga's version really ends at 2:51, but either way your estimate isn't correct, and when people on here complain about Gaga making shorter songs, they're not complaining about potential 8 seconds being shaved off, more like a minute :enigma:

You can ignore that one, if it's not strong enough for you. I think the point is still made. :vegas:

not Chromatica

For me it's like... I'm only pissed Babylon is so short and I'm fine with the rest. I feel like the anticipation for that song has been so huge that its length is kind of disappointing by default. Even if the song is the bop of all bops, I'm gonna want it longer for sure. Boomkack me if you want.

Cherry Cherry

I mean if people want to listen to more of her voice you literally have 7 albums + all her unreleased/demo/live stuff that's readily available :saladga:
