REALITY 77,500
I think getting angry over song lengths is really shallow, honestly. Don't judge a book by its cover, y'all ROM is only 3:02, and it doesn't even feel short at all. In fact, the length is perfect for that song. Just because the songs are shorter doesn't mean that they won't be as catchy, addicting, danceable, etc. She made these songs these lengths for a reason. Trust her and trust the producers who helped make the songs. 𝔗𝔥𝔢 𝔪𝔲𝔰𝔦𝔠'𝔰 𝔤𝔬𝔫𝔫𝔞 𝔟𝔯𝔦𝔫𝔤 𝔪𝔢 𝔟𝔞𝔠𝔨 𝔣𝔯𝔬𝔪 𝔡𝔢𝔞𝔱𝔥

I personally prefer songs aroud 4 minutes as they usually have more rooms for creative elements, to play around with dynamics and just generally more lyrics. A shorter song can have more creative elements, dynamics, and lyrics than longer songs. Length means nothing. holy scheisse 22,321
She'll be able to perform the entire tracklist + like 8 other songs when/if she goes on tour; thats a plus
HorusRa2 5,005
I think that it's great that she's got some short songs but I do generally feel that she could have done at least 1 or 2 BTW era length songs for the gays. lmao. I just want 1 really amazing extended mix dance track.

It's also worth noting that HALF of Cheek to Cheeks 20 over all songs are under 3 minutes and even the longest of the remaining 10 is 4:15. These are songs that have stood the test of time and are truly classics too! It's a lot like writing an essay for school, some kids will turn in 10 pages and it can be just okay and then some kids can turn in 3 pages and knock it out of the park! But the thing is when the assignment is a 4 page paper you don’t get bonus points for turning in 8. There’s a craft to editing and actually creating a clean, no fat no filler body of work. Everyone thinks longer equals better but Gaga has been consistently criticized for her lack of editing on her albums over the years. Whether it’s a bad song inclusion or an over bloated length (looking at your BtW) there’s no reason to meltdown over song lengths. once you realize a lot of the people whining are the same people that always whine you take it less seriously. These people are already miserable and need to find other people to blame for it. Sometimes it’s her team sometimes it’s her but lord knows it’ll NEVER be the person melting down who maybe just needs to grow up
JoshuaT 246
I don't mind the others, what kinda bothers me it's sour candy being so short. I'm afraid the girls will be just backing vocals in the chorus

It's crazy people put so much weight on song length when in reality 90% of Gagas songs that are 5 minutes can be cut down to 3 realistically and not lose anything of significant value. Often it's just multiple hooks repeated through out or drawn out instrumentals at the beginning or end. Born This Way as an album is very tough to get through at 73 minutes. When every single song has this long extended intro and outro it just makes it feel like the album drags on for ages. These longer cuts work great as extended versions or live versions - but on an album a bunch of 5 minute songs can just be detrimental and make the experience almost fatiguing even if the music is good. Magui 2,629
came to the conclusion that some like to meltdown over everything, others like to join the meltdown, others like to watch the meltdown, etc. I have no complaints about the length of the songs we got so far... and i'm sure friday i will be awesomely surprised. McYves 1,612
Oh please just stop talking about it, it's not a big deal . We're getting a new album and it's the only thing that actually matters. Guest
You bitches aren't even going to notice when you have it on repeat all day. 2/2 songs released so far have immense repeat value. Clearly that's something she is going for.
