Light/ Dark Album Cover

I’ve seen two different versions of the album cover, one with a darker sine wave, and one with a lighter sine wave. Does anyone know the reason for these different images? Is one the standard album cover and the other the deluxe? Or perhaps one is for the digital album and the other is for the physical album?

The darker one(which I prefer!) was the first one that leaked and seems to be the cover for the physical copies and merch I have seen, while the lighter copy that Gaga posted seems to be the cover for streaming

I think the dark one is the leaked cover

and the light one is the official cover  but I may be wrong

Dark was what leaked before - although it has been used since on some website - its could be the deluxe but I’m guessing the darker one is just the original version before final polish

Yeah I think it’s true that the lighter cover is for digital and the darker one is the physical copies. That’s what I’ve noticed so far at least. I love the dark one so much more though

I actually thought that originally too, however I’ve seen online websites using the darker image. It very well may just be the physical cover, or at least the CD, I’m not sure about the vinyl.

That was my original thought, too. Although perhaps a more HD version of the darker cover exists too. Plus I’ve seen stores advertising the dark cover:

There's a HQ version of the dark cover now on the albums and merch(the face and makeup are different from the leak)

I believe the lighter version is for digital so that the sine wave symbol reads a little more clearly since album art is typically thumbnail sized.
