Blood Sweat and Tears and BOOMBAYAH were certainly the biggest hits of 2016 and part of that was them supporting each other. FRIEND ZONE (2017) BLINKs were in suffering due to only having one song that year, and ARMYs were getting more successful now that BTS went to the states. However, they still supported each other. DDU DU DDU DU (2018) While other ARMYs and BLINKs were friends, most turned enemies. Their comebacks were HUGE. Fake Love and DDU DU DDU DU were the biggest hits of 2018 in K-Pop. All were pitting each other, with views, with acheivements and streams. BOY WITH LUV (2019) While BLINKs were winning, they were suddenly hit by the cluster**** that is Map of the Soul: Persona and BTS got all the awards. However BLACKPINK still got more awards by worldwide recognition. It all became scary when People Choice Awards became the boiling point. BLACKPINK won but they were accused of rigging. I don't know about BTS though All of my friends (and my mom) are huge KPOP, K-drama stans but I only started listening to Blackpink when Gaga announced Sour Candy and I’m amazed by their talent and artistry. I’ll be a full fledged Stan now. Also as someone from Asia,it feels amazing to see them succeed so much and they might be the first Asian act to get an AOTY nomination and that makes me so proud.
