It's very catchy club house with the piano based instrumental chorus. It reminds me a lot of Electricity by Dua Lipa. In that sense I think it's a perfect single, very summertime, although it's sad we can't dance to it at the club. I'm surprised how well Gaga and Ariana's voices go together. I prefer Gaga's voice personally and I love how she goes lower. This however will never be a fav of mine I'm afraid. It's a bit too mellow for me. You hear the song for the first time and you are somewhere between it's good and hmmm is it good? 2. You still keep listening to it because in reality it is good, it is quality, perhaps it doesn't hit every nerve on your body but you enjoy it still, or it's fine at least. 3. You wake up some time down the line (a week, month, 3 months... doesn't matter how long) you play that same song and it BLASTS your socks off! You feel all the feels and it just RAINS ON YOU!! This happened to me with in particular with Poker Face, Venus, Applause, Perfect Illusion and Stupid Love... and I have a feeling the same will be with Rain on me :) This is one of the reasons why I love Gaga, her songs just get better and better all the time and not the other way round like with most of music. xoxo Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

I'll have to listen to it more to really dive into it but on first listen, I really enjoy it. Gaga and Arianas vocals just flow so well together, this is such a fun collab. axelwolf 114 Posted May 22, 2020 Share Posted May 22, 2020 second listen, I love it, I love how she's playing with the structure of the song, similar to Venus, the breakdown of goddess of love, but instead "I feel the thunder coming down on me" my fave part!! also love how lyrically its about battling sobriety but accepting you're an addict "I'll never be dry but least I'm alive" YESSS. can relate but am unsure if this is a good message to put out?
