Are u deaf, guys seriously, are u all deaf ,or u are pretending to be?

Lol I’m not deaf thank you. But what I am, is a 24 year old who does not waste their time on online forums trying to discredit an artists work. That’s childish and I have better things to do than to “argue” with a stranger who is clearly only here to get people riled up. Sounds pretty tiring to me tbh. I’d rest if I were you, but not before you stream and buy Rain On Me. Hope you take care! :vegas:

The chorus slays :legend:but I think the "I hear the thunder coming down on me" part should be in every chorus, not just the last one, I was expecting it after the first one and it's kinda going nowhere without it...

The verses are great

The bridge, however, Gaga, you can do such marvelous bridges and you come up with this? The spoken word is simply terrible and kills the vibe of the song a little...

The length is also a problem, I feel like it ended in the middle of still going somewhere and it felt unfinished, there should be at least one more repetition of the "thunder" part or some outro  because it just ends out of nowhere at its highest peak.

Overall, I think it's nice, I was pleasantly suprised that it wasn't Ariana in the second chorus who went falsetto, but the harmonies she did an octave lower were simply heavenly :nick:

I'd give the song a 7/10

After about 50 listens I’d like to share. Here’s my experience. I’d really love your opinions if you have the time to read. I’ll try to keep it short.

When I met my husband in 2018, he cared about Ariana the way I care about Gaga. We both had very intense feelings about it. With some hesitance from each of us, we both began to love both of these women and dreamt of what a song they created together would sound like. We searched for hours for mashups of our favorite songs, made playlists, forced the other to react to every album and every music video. It was a MAJOR staple in our marriage because we had never met anyone else in person that loved pop culture, stannings artists, chart watching. All of the fun things I do here with you all.

I heard the LQ snippets with the lyrics “born for the night” (we didn’t know it was ROM at the time but the beat started marching up) and the “ooh ooh”s that were removed so when this song started, I was already completely floored. It was so bone chillingly beautiful. Soothing. I even felt like it was a light rain at that point.

the piano chords came in in between the “it’s coming down on me” and “water like misery” lyrics. Chills again. At first and even fifth listen I was like, this is cute and fun. Now I hear it as almost life changing. The meaning. The metaphors. Those HARMONIES leading into the second chorus.

i feel like it’s the perfect build into the torrential downpour that is the last 35 seconds. The song is ever changing, adding new sounds and vocals and instruments, and I can not think of a single way to improve on it other than making it a 4-5 minute song.

The song, for me, is one of the most important songs Gaga or Ariana has ever written. All I can think about is Gaga’s hip, her public backlash, her issues with other artists (mostly the bullying she endured from Madonna). I think about Manchester. The fact today is the three year anniversary. I think about Ariana trying to fix Mac Miller and then losing him anyway. And I just close my eyes and listen to these lyrics. I know a lot have complained over length, lack of lyrics in the chorus, and I can see your perspectives, I wish this song lasted forever. And with my 50th listen, I shed tears thinking about where I am now and where they are. This song is already so special.

thank you all for the time and being a light for me and my husband in this not so great time. I love being a part of this forum. And even though life is a little upside down, I’m ready to be rained on. ❤️

A cute song that soon will be buried into eternal oblivion... nothing groundbreaking...nothing memorable ..

For those who wanted something a lot more "Bombastic" and upbeat I'll explain- this is the workd of two amazing female artist who decided to collaborate in order to get through the things that happened in their lives. today is the anniversary of the terror attack in Manchester. the lyrics of this songs are very deep and emotional. if this song was like a "House more-ish" song, no one would pay attention to the lyrics. the amount of emotions that you get from every word that's coming out of their mouth is limitless. listen to it more than one time, listen to the lyrics and just enjoy.

The way she sings "I'm ready, rain on me" like she's saying it against her will, it's finally time to let go...it just gets me every time :bradley:

I loved it from the first listen but I can totally see how it might be a grower. I discover new things with every listen and love it more each time. One of the best things about Gaga music is it's always something unexpected and sometimes it takes you a few listens to get your ears around it properly. For me at least, I always end up in love, even with songs I didn't adore at first.
