 Gaga said some things really concerning about her own mental wellbeing and health that scared me. Do you guys think she is ok? I’m shocked she is this way when the persona we got since C2C is that she is doing great and thriving.

 

i’m just scared for her. The interview felt like something from mid ARTPOP. She seems really on edge and struggling

Wouldn't you be stressed if you had an album dropping next week that was already delayed while the world falls apart around you?

My favorite was her EMPHATICALLY telling him that she didn't start smoking again and then saying that she chain smoked through the entire album process?  oh mom. Did I miss something?

but didn't she mean that she hasn't been smoking since she finished the album? (i haven't watched it so idk)

I don’t think it is appropriate for folks to be speculating about diagnoses she has not publicly discussed. She gets to decide what she shares with the public and what she keeps private - let’s support that.

I think she's OK. I'm sure she's proud of what she's created, but I get the vibe that she isn't in the mood to promote this project very much at ALL right now. She's just doing it because she has to.

She did look a bit stressed and sad in the interview. I think it could also be due to the fact a ton of her legal work got leaked and maybe she doesn't want it out in public. Also, lets not forget she has fibromyalgia and that she still suffers from hip pain. She has also battled substance abuse in the past and those demons can haunt you for a very long time. I know she will get better because she is the strongest artist out there and she is brave and passionate about her craft.

Maybe she is just being more quiet because although she is releasing an album we are in a middle of a pandemic where thousands of people are dying everyday? Besides her mental health problems, I mean it's weird to do promo just being happy and showing that you are doing amazing while you are Lady Gaga and live everything so intensely and emotional and you even delayed your album because of it and wanted to raise money to help before, Idk

I agree, I think she is genuinely struggling with her mental health. It’s why it makes me sick when some “fans” are so hard on her. I think she lives music, loves art, and loves performing, but I think the industry gives her a lot of anxiety and I think her life as a celebrity is not good for her mental health. It’ll be interesting to see the direction she decides to go after this, as I truly believe she is really trying to figure out herself, so as not to rely on drugs/alcohol to cope. 
 

I truly wish her the best though, and I hope that she continues to focus on HER, and not what she feels she needs to be for the world.

It can be because of the DBT (recommended mostly for BPD) and the antipsychotic but I think it's better to not speculate or suppose anything. I think she would be open about it also, for helping others going through the same. But we never know.
