Well there's playable instruments and there's voice which is also an instrument. If you mean her voice on the song is metal inspired, then yes, that's true. That doesn't make the song metal especially when all instruments except the voice seem to belong to a different genre. Her live performances are always rockier because she uses a live band with guitars and drums, so yeah the SXSW performance sounds closer to metal (I would still say hard Rock at best) but the album version is definitely very distinctly EDM and not heavy metal.
